I have finally figured it out but this was a bit confusing to me.. KI website doesnt help..LOL first they say.. Tickets for the two-day coaster-riding extravaganza are $47.99 Adult and $31.99 Junior/Senior. Admission to the event is FREE for 2009 Kings Island Gold and Cedar Fair Platinum passholders. Than they say.... You must be a registered member of a Kings Island-approved roller coaster club or amusement/theme park enthusiast organization to attend Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend! Following are the approved, official roller coaster clubs and enthusiast organizations: So let me say this for myself.... Since I am a member of this group ( before feb. 1st) I can bring one guest and pay full ticket price for the event. But If your guest has a season pass and they are not a member of any of the groups listed they still have to pay the event price, even though they have the season pass???? am I right. Just trying to clarify. I am happy that you can now bring a guest. I know there were several people that were not going to attend because they couldn't even get there spouses in. Im glad someone has changed there minds! yay!

Press Release: First Rides on Diamondback Up for Auction

How did you figure this out?? I would like to donate some to this cause. -
I don't think I will ever be in the park on June 9th now...... eeek

Never had any interest in it. Glad I never rode it......

Where to start...sigh. First of all, it was NOT the Royal Fountain...which has never had such an incident, but rather the pond over in Oktoberfest behind what is now Outer Hanks. Second, he didn't fall in, by all accounts, but was in fact intoxicated and apparently decided to go for a swim. His would be rescuer also died. And the electrocution was apparently caused by lack of a ground fault interruption system...which was immediately corrected...This all happened the same day that the woman fell from Flight Commander and died...she was also intoxicated, and apparently may have been watching the activity over in Oktoberfest...when she slipped from the restraints somehow and plunged to her death. That day has since been known as Black Sunday at Kings Island.... When was this Sunday? I remember the woman that fell from Flight Commander but never the men in the pod. I never knew so many died at KI..... eek!

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
kittenpooh replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
So does the bidding work that the highest bidder has the first seat and #2 is second seat and so on down the list? The highest successful bidder will select their seat on the first train of Diamondback while all other successful bidders will be assigned their seats according to their bid amount. Minimum bids begin at $50.00. got that of of KI website -
Ways to stay cool. I hate standing in a line and the sun beats down on you. Misting fans like Firehawk would be wonderful but more of them. A covered waiting area would be nice too. Hopefully it all ties into the area. Im sure they will do there best at making this an amazing ride.

I have also heard The Vortex is going to have parts of it takin out like the SOB because it is so rough. Its wonderful what you hear standing in line. gee.....

Exclusive interview with King Island's Don Helbig
kittenpooh replied to Ohiocoasterman's topic in Kings Island
I just watched it. Its a great interview with great questions. Wish I could have heard Don a little better but over all it was great. Thanks for that man! -
We appreciate your support! There are countless coaster enthusiast events at countless parks and allowing KICentral -- a fan site, not an enthusiast group -- participate is a privileged that is simply unprecedented. The unfortunate risk you run doing something like this is it could quickly become a Gold Pass event -- which it isn't. Ride Warriors Weekend is intended to be for the most loyal and enthusiastic fans and it simply isn't fair to other participants (KIC or otherwise) for 1,000 people to show up by simply registering on this web site, so the line had to be drawn somewhere. This site is amazing. I know I haven't been on here long but Im on here every time I get a chance. I love the PRIVILEGE of being apart of this group. I can't wait till I get to meet some of you! I completely understand about putting a deadline on being able to join. I do believe that a spouse should be able to join the member though

I have had many dreams about KI. I had more of them when I used to work there. I used to always dream of operating Reptar. (which was part of my job) My most recent dream of KI though is one about Diamond back. I was there with a group of people I didn't know but I was there with them.... how I don't know im shy... But anyways we had to have a race for the first ride. (im not a runner!!) So I made all kinds of traps to make people trip and fall so I could beat them back there. I know that sounds awful but hey we are talking the first ride here. I made it back there, I was not the first. I wanted to be the first, this part is stupid dont ask, When I got back there I yelled snake and every one ran screaming. I wasn't lying, I was just talking about the coaster. I got the first ride at the end Silly dream I know, I woke up laughing.
