  4. I wonder if they ever used the old KCKC boats that they bought after I took off all the wheels.
  5. During the 96 season my dad and I seen a sign next to the old flight commaner site saying wait for something falling here next year, not 100% sure if that is right word by word but I do remember a small sign.
  6. I'm really starting to miss it, haven't been there since 2004. I used to go at least once a year, but I'm goint to make sure I make it for CoasterMania next year!

footballfreak, At least I know who you are and I'll say hi next time I see you, as for catching things I forgot to mention while breaking in Beast before opening day back in 2003 I caught a guys hat from wood coaster mainteneance right before the turn into the block break.
  9. I think they meant for it to be first riders for the general public on opening day, I did not partake in the auction but I have giving money to them in the past. I think ki did a good job putting DB through its paces to ensure that it would run by opening day. Working with the guys from Dept. of Agucalture they braged about how great they all did!
  10. They do try to help out as much as they can. Channel 5 is the tabloid news of Cincinnati and ki has had a bad relationship with them for years not sure why but they did carry it over to GWL and they will seat out in Showcase's parking lot and listen to radio channels.

I was there by myself yesterday from 2-10. I was wearing my Mystry Mine shirt. I rode DB 12 times while waiting for my last ride for the night I tried to talk with two guys in front of me one was wearing a grey DB shirt and the other guy was wearing a blue shirt, I know that the one in blue works at ki but they just blew me off oh well. I did see Ryan "wildman" and Chelsea from DB crew was very nice I tried recruiter her to join KICentral.
  12. To change the subject just a little but jumpers and security is still involved with this story, back when MTV used to have dance parties at ki I was working Congo Falls and we had a guest jump off the boat on to the catwalk next to the turn then jumped back in before the drop, luckily security was walking up the exit and seen it too and ran over to wait for him exit and yes Mason did hand cuff him and walked him out. Years later when I work maintenance on Congo while standing on the turn around I just imagined how he did it and how lucky he was that he didn't miss the cat walk completely.
  13. I was hoping they would of given us something for riding during the commersal shoot. We did have free drinks and snacks which was nice, I could make it opening day this year so I'll just buy a first rider shirt on e-bay. muahahahahah!
  14. I don't have this problem but the old man I was paired up with today got a little fuzzy, when we made it up to the helicopter I looked over to make a smart remark about the hot flames on such a hot day and he was just confused on what just happend and he said that everything went a little grey. You really do hit some g's on that helix plus I felt that I was going to puke up my rib cage when I slammed into the restraint.
  15. Nice trip report, I'm really going to have to make it next time.
  16. Back when I worked in Rides I would flash out my associate ID and tell them that I'll have security here before they could make it on the ride. Worked all the time and yes always report it to the ride op so they can take care of them before the board the ride. The ride ops will then take the oppoperate steps have security do what they do, in five years in rides I only had on security guard let them ride.
  17. What's funny is that I have no fear of hieghts but I'm very claustrophobic
  18. When I went the guys at Gravity Group suggested riding Raven first then Legand and top it off with Voyage.
  19. Oh you don't want to be messin around we me!! hahaha
  20. Thanks, I'm going to see Don on Monday so I hope he still has the pictures
  21. I'm talking about the distance between magnets, there is two magnets on both sides and the brake fin runs thru them. Simple earth bond magnets
  22. My wife and I wanted to bring our little beasties up for a quick trip before going over to my dad's to roost marshmallows out in the woods. Since my youngest is almost at the 40 inch mark we stopped at guest relations to get them measured and yes she hit the 40 inch mark. We made a b line over to fairly odd coaster, as we started up the lift hill we all had our hands up. As we started down our descent my youngest grabbed the lap bar and of course my oldest beastie who has been riding fairly odd coaster since last year she still had her hands up as we rounded the first turn she had a grin from ear to ear with both hands up the rest of the way. After hopping off and many high fives we scooted down to buy our photo, only coaster lovers buy family portraits while riding coasters haha. We then headed over to Marty's Party and since we had 10 mins to spare they jumped on Swipers Sweepers for a quick ride. We watched Marty's Party last week and my oldest was picked to go up on stage so they were very excited, little did I know that I was the one who would be pick this time. When Marty asked for a brave dad to come up my wonderful wife volunteers me to head up, it was just awesome just to see my girls faces while I was going some butt smack dance with Marty then he put a mask with a net connected to it so I could catch a little kitty flung from a Catapult and of course I caught it on the first try. Don H. was by chance there taking pictures so after the show I asked if it took pictures while I was up there and he did..... Sweet I have spent my whole life practiclly here at ki and today byfar has been my best day ever!!!! We then headed over to ride Viking Fury for my littlest beastie to be able to ride it for the first time and of course she loved it back seat all the way she did hold on but my oldest did have hers up. I can't even put my arm around her while riding anymore she's hands up all the way!!! We noticed that Endless Summer on Ice was now playing so we headed over there since they loved it last year but unfortanly the last show of the day was cancelled. With little hearts broken we went back over to nick u so let them ride bumpers, the little swings and end are quick trip with Scooby Doo! Best day ever Last week my oldest rode Shake Rattle and Roll for the first time after getting off she looked over at Diamond Back and said ok I want to ride that now daddy hahaha I told her she needs to eat her veggies and grow somemore!!!
  23. I remember seeing the magnetic trim breaks being made and I'm sure they are adjustable.
  24. I try to wear any ride shirt and any pair of shorts with zipper pockets.
  25. Wow never thought of it that way. We sometimes stop all depends on how hard my little beasties are pulling me.
