  2. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/ourhistory/2012/01/23/kings-island-skyride-failure-stranded-27/ But was that the actual reason it was removed? Did it ever reopen after that incident? Low ridership and hard-to-locate replacement parts have also been cited as reasons for its removal. More info here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/13181-sky-ride-question/#entry216776
  3. If I remember correctly, it was close to or part of the Green Slime Zone in the kids area and not too far from the Nickelodeon Theater. Snoopy's Splash Dance is there now, which is not too far from what is now known as the Peanuts Playhouse.
  4. Please say you didn't just call them "The Peanuts". I find it pretty funny that they named a ride after "Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown", which...isn't available anywhere except from VHS collectors. It can also be found on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MWarspuzPU and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGsZPU2VrZY
  5. There are some pictures of the Son of Beast media kit here: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=915464
  6. I received more information by e-mail about this exhibit for those who are interested: "This is not a large exhibit, there are four total cases, this picture showing one of the smaller ones. But the collection is comprehensive and a lot of fun. Pictures are definitely allowed! Kids love our museum, so don't be afraid to bring them along. We have toy boxes set out on each of the three floors representing three time frames. The kids love to play with the "stuff" in those boxes. We are also a touching allowed museum."
  7. http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/news/local_news/lebanon_community/Kings-Island-Memories-Maker-Exhibit-to-open-at-Warren-County-History-Center_56110756 I didn't see this mentioned anywhere else on the forums. I would be interested to know if anyone else here has seen the exhibit and what kind of items are displayed. There was also a small article in the Dayton Daily News on Sunday with similar information.
  8. Actually, they're not breaking any law if it occurs in the United States or the United Kingdom. Canada, however, is a different story. See http://www.pennycollector.com/faq.html and click on "Is it legal?" There is other interesting information about elongated pennies on that website as well.

  10. Regular parking is NOT up at Kings Island; on the contrary, it's still $10. Preferred parking, as pointed out above, did indeed go up to $20, though. I'm curious, though, whether you can in fact use a Gold or Platinum Pass to get preferred parking for the difference in cost; has anybody here tried that, and did they let you do that, or do you have to pay full price for preferred parking even with a Gold/Platinum Pass? I used my gold pass to upgrade to preferred parking on opening day and paid $5 just like last season. I was pleasantly surprised, because I thought they were going to charge the difference between regular and preferred parking, which is now $10. ">
