I actually like CP's atmosphere better. It's much older than KI and pretty well maintained. I also love that you are overlooking Lake Erie on some of the roller coasters (MF, Magnum, Maverick) Anyway, a great selection of rides, great roller coasters, good atmosphere, decent food, and friendly staff (cough Holiday World cough). Then I'll be happy.

It makes me sad because Son of Beast had SO much hype going into 2000 and tons of people turned out hating it because of it's roughness. LOL. True.

Is there any evidence of this or is it speculation?

This would be AWESOME but I really doubt it. I know it would never happen (it's such a popular ride), but I wish CP could take out Mantis and but a much better coaster in it's place.

Nice Trip Report. I'm guessing trooper mom is your mom? haha. Cedar Point is an amazing park. Raptor, TTD, MILLENIUM FORCE, Wicked Twister, Maverick. I was also at Coaster Mania btw. I might've seen you there.

They have three roller coasters (Thunderhead, Tennessee Tornado, Mystery Mine) I LOVE Thunderhead (one of the best wooden roller coasters I've been on), Mystery Mine is great also, and Tennessee Tornado is really smooth for so many inversions. It's also near the smokey mountains, which is cool. It's extremely clean. They have some great water rides too. As you can tell, I LOVE Dollywood.

Because everything but the track is wood! WRONG!!!!! The trains, wheels, lift chains, lights, cameras, drive wheels, brakes, hand rails, wires, theming, and the ride ops are NOT made of wood . Well ya got me didn't you?

I find Hanks decent. I liked their menu more though when they had seafood.
