  1. Yup your right I fixed it. And it's themed around different countries but that ride is just based on a sports car that goes for a cruise and ends up in a "black forest" with a freefall drop and two launches. Very fun, way better than Flight of Fear
  2. Something along the lines of Verbolten at Busch Gardens VA would be awesome back in that area and leading into the trees. The theming would pretty much fit well too. Depending on how they plan on theming the rumored Action Zone remodel they could theme the ride to that.
  3. There's all sorts of speculation about what will or should happen to the area occupied by SOB. What do you think will be the "future expansion" to Kings Island? This is the place to post anything about what you think will happen. Hopefully this organizes all the chaos
  4. How about a ride like Wild Eagle from Dollywood!? I haven't been on it but that ride looks amazing! Could you immagine something like that in the trees? .......awesome
  5. That's exactly what CW did this year. Leviathan was announced this year.....which 2011 marks CW's 30th anniversary. That being said, I am also optimistic that the same thing might happen to us. We get a waterpark expansion this year, and maybe next year, another major attraction will be announced.. It seems to me that Kings Island likes to copy Canada's Wonderland's new rides a year after they get them... They got Behemoth, we got Diamondback. Both are almost identical, except ours has a cooler ending, the splashdown. I'm gonna place my bet on a new ride for Kings Island announced next year very close in resemblance to Leviathan but with something better... a splashdown? Nah! Lets change it up! Maybe water/fire effects over a pond of some sort or some tunnels. The only big coaster with tunnels is that big ol' Beast lurkin in the woods! Hopefully this one will be located in a wooded area! I bet we'll see CW Deja-vu next year... fingers crossed
  6. Everyone's complaining about this announcement and saying how it isn't a 40th anniversary worthy addition but here's my theory... Maybe, just MAYBE, Kings Island will announce a huge ride ON the 40th anniversary year and have it debut on the 41st year. The ride would technically be for the 40th but it wouldn't actually be finished until 2013. That's my theory. And although I'm sad to see the Aussie theme go, this might actually turn out ok.... maybe

whats SBNO mean? I know SoB but what's SBNO.
  9. Honestly The Crypt is worth nothing at all to most guests of the park. They need to get with the program and fix it or tear it down and put something cool in its place(Ah-hem, SoB for example) because its just a huge useless building taking up a bunch of space. There's only one good thing that The Crypt has to offer... AIR CONDITIONING. I would rather them put a stupid dinosaur in its place than have them leave it how it is...
  10. I wonder what they could do with removing the giant top spin and building a new roller coaster of some sort inside the building that houses the ride today. I know there's close to no possibility of this happening but it would be a nice spot for a cool family ride of another thrill ride like FoF in X Base. They could leave the godess on the wall and have the ride based on that. Maybe a wild mouse type of ride? A log flume or another sort of water ride would fit the theme great as well! Thoughts and comments and this? This is just creative thinking from a 16 year old!
  11. GYK you're right about the water reflecting on the Sheeba Godess! That would be such an easy thing to do that would make the ride so much better. I don't really see how they HAD to remove the lava and stalactites because of rights to the movie... lava isn't exclusive to that movie lol. They could at least add some mist to the ride chamber... maybe fog? And something to REALLY add to the whole ride would be updating The Bat in the final chamber... I was there with my brother, his girlfriend, and her younger sister and the thing actually made her laugh! It's pathetic and you can hear the mechanics to it. I saw the lifeless demon dog things with horns and thought... What if they suddenly fell out over top of the people waiting in line focusing on the "Bat"... That'd be pretty surprising! Oh and i think a company like Cedar Fair can make a bowl of fire look a little better than wiggling orange paper...
  12. Four days ago i was at Kings Island and MAN was it HOT! To beat the heat my group and I went to ride The Crypt and to my surprise, not much change at all.... I did notice that the lighting had been upgraded, or at least they attempted to fix it. They replaced the old, broken lanterns (Half of which didn't work) with new ones and they used flickering light bulbs. In my opinion they flicker a little to fast but its better than the old ones! When you get to the different chambers of the queue, the first chamber door(the doors that use to roll open) Were replaced with a wooded, boarded up looking door. Also, the first chamber seems to have also received new lighting. Not 100% sure but its got a nice red and blue lighting package from above. The second chamber also received some new attention! I don't remember the two lifeless demon things with horns but those are there, and the cheap looking demon bat is still there as well... but in this chamber they added a cool backdrop behind The Bat that creates the illusion of water . It looks as if water is reflected on the back of the chambers wall. After moving into the ride's chamber through the new wooden doors, nothing looks different, until you flip upside down towards the ground and LED lights turn on. In my opinion the lights could have been better... They are random yellow, red, blue, and green dots and you only see them once. But other than that the ride seems the same, including its cycle.
  13. Facebook Message from Kings Island's Page: "Opening Day Update: WindSeeker will not be open this Saturday when the park opens for the 2011 season.
