  1. I'm wondering if the Funbrellas near the wave pool offer much as far as protection from the sun. I was at the park yesterday, spending the vast majority of my time under a Funbrella, while the kids played in the pool. I had sunscreen on my face but not my arms, figuring the short amount of time I'd be out in the sun wouldn't be a problem. But my arms turned rather crispy! I love the shade, I assumed I'd be safer under there but maybe I'm wrong?
  2. Did they used to sell encyclopedias at Kings Island or did I just dream that? Maybe mid-90's?
  3. My mom hardly ever salts anything. I didn't know what flavor was until I was in college.
  4. I heard they were passing them out at the parking gate in the morning and I saw them next to the park maps.
  5. Does anybody happen to know if you can do payments for the season dining plan?
  6. I have to detour to the American Girl store too.
  7. I hadn't heard of Cane's before but you all seem so impressed with it! I'm driving through Columbus on my way to the Cleveland area this weekend. Will I be near any?
  8. How busy does Cedar Point tend to be Labor Day weekend?
  9. My family bought the Season Long Dining plan yesterday. It was kind of confusing though I am convinced it is a fantastic deal for us. In the Festhaus, the servers at the LaRosa's didn't seem to know what I was talking about or maybe they just couldn't hear me over the crazy loud music from the show. One of their supervisors said it included the pizza and breadsticks or one of their sandwiches that seems to come with potato wedges (I didn't really look at what those sandwiches were, so I don't know). The cashier at first didn't seem to know what the Season Long Dining plan is, but then she wanted to see my receipt from buying it, which I seemed to have lost. She said their scanner wasn't working and that's why she wanted to see the receipt. I told her I didn't have it and then she said to just go on through. That was for my daughter, then my husband and I went to Hank's. Their options include burrito, or taco salad or tacos WITH a side of chips OR fruit such as the cup of strawberries with whipped cream. That gorgeous, ridiculously sized piece of chocolate cake they made sure to tell me is not included. The cashier seemed knowledgeable and my husband's pass worked fine, but mine didn't. We bought ours at different times. She let me go anyway, saying the computer system is so new and the computer people have been working on it all day while they're trying to use it, so it's been crazy. They have the free water cups at the Coke Freestyle machine now, I thought before you had to go around to the bar area for water. After riding Banshee, my husband wanted to get his money's worth and we went to Skyline and he got two coneys with fries. So did my daughter. I was not up for another meal at that point. Yes, this is great. I'm thinking I can stay out of the grocery store and my kitchen all summer! It's probably a good thing that ice cream and Cinnabon are not included.
  10. The cashier at Skyline verified my husbands photo and face when he got his meal with the dining plan.
  11. I had heard it was fun so I had to find out for myself! And it was! Seems like we get rushed through those mazes so quickly that we can't notice the details like we could during the lights on walk-through. Maybe I miss a lot because my eyes are closed half the time as I go through.
  12. I'm still amazed so many of you people can know so much about something just by looking at footers!
  13. In 1993 my husband who was my boyfriend then, had rivets on the backside of his trunks. They said he could go down the slides if he turned them around. So he did and wore them backwards the rest of the day.
  14. A snow picture in swimsuits sounds like torture! It was bad enough having to stand under the dumping bucket! I've never done that before. Whatever the Opposite of a Bucket List is.... standing under a giant bucket dumping 1,000 gallons of water would definitely be on it!
  15. I wonder if Malem has had issues with Bob Gregory too. I don't think he likes coats either. I think the only commercial I've seen was the one with Ralphie from A Christmas Story. I grew up in Northwest Indiana and wouldn't have known about Bob until the mid nineties, when I moved closer to Indy.
  16. LoraX, that is hilarious! As I remember, that blizzard left snowfall at least up to my neck! But, oh yeah, I was three years old!
  17. At least everyone finally quit asking him if he wanted to be a weather man!
  18. Thank you for the fantastic gift, Lora! Who all helped with those?
  19. Thank you for the inside information from a winning family. Now I know to never, ever allow my kids to play a game with the potential of such a prize. If they won that, we'd have to leave a kid at the park! Oh, wait, they'd probably enjoy that. When we were kids, my brother won a really big animal, but it was nowhere near as big as yours. It was just like a hard foam covered in fabric, not even enjoyable. Is your gorilla guy soft and cuddly?
  20. I love old pictures! I was laughing so hard seeing them try to take that giant stuffed animal prize up the steps! Does it need its own bedroom?
  21. I was on the last Diamondback train of the season with my daughter and Gary Coleman too. I talked to him for a minute, I believe he said it was his 10,110th ride.
  22. Beautiful quality pictures! Thanks for sharing!
  23. It was a great night! Madame Fatale's was indeed impressive. It's amazing how people who are dressed up and not actually hardly doing anything can scare me so badly! I'd like to see Board to Death! Maybe I can get back there before the season is over.
