  1. I’d be fine with something like Leviathan. Happy as a clam.
  2. The former SOB area behind Banshee, and what the park may put there, is related to this topic. One thing that doesn’t add much to the discussion is complaining.
  3. That area would be a good spot for an RMC now that I think about it. Maybe they could re-use the old SOB station.
  4. Still not sure why they’re not using the former SOB area behind Banshee for this project. If they went back there, then track length would not be a problem. Lack of money I guess? But if that’s the case then why not wait another year when you can afford something bigger?
  5. Whatever this thing is, i’m going to ride the hell out of it. I see no reason for doubting its value at this juncture.
  6. I’d be fine with Leviathan. I see nothing wrong with that. Fury is still new and a big deal and they don’t want to upstage it so soon.
  7. In terms of timing i’m a little surprised they’re doing something this big in 2020. DB was a huge investment in ‘09, Banshee was even more expensive ($24M if I remember?) in ‘14. So I thought “big steel coaster every 5 years.” Then we got a bit surprised by MT, which was only $8M in ‘17 but still a big investment. So now CF is building something huge, maybe a B&M giga, only 3 years after MT? If this thing is what we think it is (something close to Leviathan), even if it’s not a record breaker, I’ll be beyond ecstatic.
  8. People will believe anything they hear/see. There is a large number of folks who thought the “beast unleashed” fan video was made by Cedar Fair.
  9. Also a big "well done" to the station ops team on Mr. T- when we were in line they were running all three trains and dispatching them pretty much right as the previous train was gliding into the brakes in front of the shed. Very efficient.
  10. I think it would help if the interior of the show building was darker, so the projections would be more believable/ you wouldn't be able to see where the tracks go. Also we got "can't take my eyes off of you" on our only ride, which is fun because that was our wedding song.
  11. I was able to ride Mr. T once today, around sunset. The wait was about 2 hours but MT had been down earlier in the day so I was glad the wife and I were able to get on. This was my gist GCI and now I am hooked. This ride is fantastic. The only downside to it keeping its speed the entire time is that it feels like you hit the brakes after only 10 seconds. I can't really complain though because the ride experience is so great. I will definitely come back on a weekday so I can ride it 5-10 times in a row. I thought the shed was fine. They hyped it up a lot but hey, that's still 10x more theming than DB and Banshee combined. I think if they had just built the coaster without the shed I still would be happy, but it's definitely different! Unfortunately it was still light out when we got off, so the first night ride will have to come later this year. Overall I was blown away by the entire experience. I think this has a legitimate shot at best new ride at the golden ticket awards. This ride is outstanding.

  13. Still crossing fingers for the trains to have working headlights.
  14. Pov teaser? You're better than that, KI! Don't make me wait til media day!
  15. With Banshee I wish they would have gone all out in trying to make the station look like an old church. If money was no object, I would put in a little village of houses and huts under the track like on big bad wolf at Busch gardens. That would be pretty cool.
  16. Here's another photo of the lead car from ki's instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/BShPndchl5m/?hl=en
  17. A eurofighter would be great.
  18. I think 2022 makes the most sense for a B&m giga. I would put the station back behind Banshee in the old SOB area, then have an out and back layout behind FOF and Firehawk. That gives them 5 years to save up enough money and tie into the 50th season. As as for the big tan box, maybe they could theme the dark ride to an old mine shaft? Then they could still use some of the tomb raider theming at least in the queue.
  19. The truck looks great there. I hope it (and the millennium flyers) have working headlights.
  20. Is it too early to assume that all 3 trains are this mysterious orange color? I was looking forward to the blue trains in the renderings.
  21. We need to put a dollar amount on the bribe needed for Don Helbig to tell us what is in that confounded shed. Every man has a price. Crowdfunding? GoFundMe? I'm open to all options.
  22. I think it will feel faster when you're riding it too. The Beast always looks slow to me in off-ride videos.
  23. Outstanding off-ride footage on KI's Facebook page:
  24. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
