  1. I was looking at the 5 year plan. 2016 additions include a Major Thrill Ride/Coaster (CP, Valravn), a Mid-size Thrill Ride (?? KD, Delirium?), a Coaster Rework (KD, it was mentioned that a wooden coaster there wouldn't be open this season?), an Interactive dark ride/digital experience (CW, Plants vs. Zombies?), a Kids/Tween ride (Canada's Wonderland? Aren't they getting some flats from Europe?), a Water Park Project (KI, Tropical Plunge, and CW, Carolina Harbor), Entertainment/in-park experience (basically any of the shows, I would think) F&B/Merchandise centers (could that be the new Coaster Dynamix models, or something?), Infrastructure (KI, Funnel Cake Stand?), and a Ride Removal (CP, Shoot the Rapids). 2017 has all that, AND Accommodations. Maybe we can try to figure out what park is getting what, by following teasers, and guessing based on what they got this year? I doubt that one park would get Major Thrill Ride/Coasters two years in a row. I suppose it's possible, but still unlikely. I thought maybe we could work together, and use the 5 year plan as a guide, and guess based on this year's additions. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  2. I can honestly say I'd cry if WWC was removed. I cried when I watched SOB fall, and I never even got to ride it. I agree agree that it'll probably be where the funnel cake stand was, but mom seems to think that'll be a pop-out spot like Banshee has. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  3. I also posted this in the "Project 2017?" thread. I was talking about the 5 year plan with my mom, and she thinks that next year's ride removal is gonna be WWC. I mentioned the new entrance queue, because why go through that work the year before you remove something? She said maybe the new WWC entrance is a cover, and they'll use it for the new ride after removing WWC. Makes me go "Hmm..." Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

  5. I think the scariest part of the 5 year plan, is next year's ride removal. Cedar Point is removing Shoot the Rapids this year, so I feel our rides are safe. Unless something happens. But, next year? We can only guess, and hope it's not our favorite. I agree on Canada's Wonderland, or Knott's for the big thrill/coaster spot, and personally think we're getting the mid-size thrill ride. I feel that 2018 or 2019 would be our dark ride year. But I'm just an enthusiast on a fan forum, so what do I really know? I'm just guessing. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  6. Would this possibly be the footer in question? I can't really tell from the shot so.... Screen shot from the video above, which can also be found here, on Kings Island's YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/yn64JxA7y48 Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  7. I also posted the in the "Project 2017?" thread, but feel it's relevant enough to post here too. It looked like a lot of trees were down for as far as I could see down the old WWC path, from the train. Also, the lake is drained, and I can't help but wonder if maybe footers or something will be going in there, and then it'll be filled back in, if that's even possible. (I would imagine they could put footers in, then have them end up under water. I'm trying to think if any of DB's are submerged....) Also, can we get a link to the teaser video mentioned above? I checked and didn't see it, but maybe I'm just overlooking it in my excitement. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

  9. I'm thinking either a woodie, or log ride. Maybe "Lumberjack?" Personally, I want a Wild Mouse, or a family woodie, more intense than Racer and Woodstock Express, but not as intense as The Beast. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  10. I took some screen grabs for those of us on mobile who get tired of the page redirecting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So, the third screenshot shows that "Larosa's Pizza" (located on International Street) is included, and you get 2 slices of pizza and two breadsticks. But, in the fourth screenshot, "Street Pizza" (located in, IN International Street) is an option. Where is Street Pizza, aside from obviously being somewhere in/on International Street? Is there really a pizza place in the Park that I didn't know about? My apologies!
  11. Wouldn't that mostly, if not exclusively be used at a certain Cedar Fair park in California? [emoji12] Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

  14. As I recall, refills were not available at the Freestyle machines. At least they weren't at the Jukebox Diner in Coney Mall. They let us do a Freestyle refill in Jukebox last season..... Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

  17. Funnel cakes weren't the only thing sold there. There were also drinks, and as previously mentioned, Elephant Ears. I didn't know if it was maybe some combination. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  18. "Two things that have been with the park since 1972, that nearly every visitor has experienced will be leaving." It was revealed to be the parking tolls. But did they maybe count for one, creating a clever diversion? Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  19. So, I just had a REALLY weird dream. It was opening day, and my mom, boyfriend, brother (who doesn't speak to us) were there with me. There was a new ride, on the lake (which is apparently behind Racer?) and we were gonna get on. It closed for a while, but we waited and it re-opened within like, 10 minutes. I decided I didn't want to ride, and was gonna see what else was new. I went over to Backlot (which was where Attitudes is?) but I found out it had been moved, to Action Zone. There was a different ride there, that from a distance I thought was Backlot, with different cars. When I found out it wasn't, I decided to try the new ride. It was a racing like thing, where you can race against AIs if there aren't any other people to race against. It was $ .50 to ride. The Ride Ops weren't gonna let me on, because of my injured hip. I was on crutches, and in an air boot that went up over my knee. (I actually have a bad hip, but it's not in this mythical air boot.) I convinced then to let me on, but they weren't gonna send out the AIs, because if you win the race, you win prizes, so we were just gonna do a prize-free race. I was doing well, so they sent out the AIs anyway, and before they could do anything to me, I beat them. I cracked 2 of the 3 new cars on opening day. I felt awful about it. When we got back to the station/finish line, I got out and they handed me a box, and congratulated me. I went on my way back to meet up with the other 3, and looked at the box. It contained $8,000. When I got over to Zephyr, they were about to get on, and I made motions to my mom saying "eight thousand" which she didn't understand. When they got off, I showed them, and everyone was so happy. We then went to a flippy swing ride that exists in basically all of my Kings Island dreams. Then I woke up. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  20. When you want to go get your Kings and Coney Island passes processed, but can't because season pass processing isn't open yet. (Kentucky Kingdom may or may not be joining that list.) Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk
  21. My mom loved that park! She tells me about all the visits our family used to make, however sadly I wasn't born/was too little when they were open. I've heard wonderful things about it though. Sent from my LGL33L using Tapatalk

  23. And once again, Terpy brings back things that need to be seen. Those are amazing, and I wish I could draw a quarter as well as you do! Hopefully we'll get to see more of your work soon. Have you tried caricature? Maybe you could work at the park.
  24. One thing I will say, is that multiple times this season, I was VERY pleased with AE's crew. They stopped us on the lift, made an announcement to put the phone away. When the offender didn't put their phone away, it was announced that the ride wouldn't start back up, until the phone was secured. It came with a friendly reminder that it was against Ohio State law, and the longer they take to put the phone away, the better the chance that security would have enough time to be waiting in the station for our train to come in. Considering I was a row or two back on at least two instances, I stopped at Guest Services, and filled out a form, complimenting the crew for being wary of safety regulations, and state laws. AE, in my personal opinion, has one of the best crews when it comes to safety. I've seen them handle guests who tried to get by with just the lapbar, no seat belt, and they handled in a professional, and reasonable manner.
  25. Rumor has it, the maze replacing Club Blood is gonna be called "Blackout." I have no idea if there's any truth to it, but that's what I heard. I'll kinda miss it, but eh, it's whatever. As long as I get to enjoy Wolf Pack at least once, I'll be happy. Also, unpopular opinion here, but I enjoyed Tombstone Terror-tory.
