On Opening Day, if everyone had shown up at their reservation time as instructed, there wouldn't have been the logjam that there was.

Exactly.  You even had people on the Facebook page bragging about being there since before 6 AM in line, when they had reservations for 11:00 AM.  You're the reason people with 10:30 reservations didn't get into the park until after 11:00.

Are restraints copy written for each Manufacturer?

The reason I ask is automobiles have basically the same seat belt (lap and shoulder) arrangement and differs little from make to make.  With this being said, could B&M use a Copperhead Strike restraint for the Surf coaster or would that be copyright infringement?

It would be patent infringement if anything.

If we go beyond ten years, both Top Thrill Dragster and Xcelerator also had injuries caused by the launch cable snapping.  Hagrids has issues but I think that has to do more with the fact that it uses a high number of launches plus the show scenes.  Thus far, B&M does not appear to have any although it could be that they just haven't been publicized.  Intamin seems to push the envelope to obtain more intense rides.  Then, they go a little too far and things like removing Maverick's heartline roll plus all the other issues crop up.

With that said, I think that Intamin is figuring out how to dial it back a little, which is why they seem to have dropped the hydraulic launch systems.  Still, even with new ride hiccups, B&M is as about as good as they come for reliability.

Coaster Sally seems to like using the "confused" reaction for every post he/she disagrees with.  If you're that confused, I think you need to educate yourself.  Intamin's safety and reliability has a well-documented shady past, and it wasn't a distant past, either.

The ride attendant told me everything needed to be out of pockets in order for the lap at to properly secure you not because of a loose article policy. Not sure though.

That sounds like BS.  I had no problems being secured in my seat with things in my pocket in 2018.  Just a BS explanation.

Is my WALLET "an unsecured item"??

    And why not?

Do they make you give up your wallet?

I'm not sure about this year, but in previous years?  Nope.

  5. It’s hard to remain non-political when the reason we’re in this giant mess is strictly political.  The ruling party has pushed out to their cult that masks are unnecessary and frowned upon, that the nation’s top infectious disease experts are not to be trusted and that we need to CUT testing in order to make the whole thing disappear.  States are going BACK on lockdown for a second time because we have a complete void of leadership in the White House.  Ban me or delete my post if you wish, but you cannot refute these facts.

America is #1 in the world in medical research, medical innovation, and top healthcare professionals/facilities. It's not even close, but we are the absolute epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic. Also not even close.  You have to ask yourself why? Who is responsible? I think we know the answer.

Top healthcare facilities and professionals, sure.  Top healthcare?  Not so much.  We’re probably not in the top 10.  And yeah, let’s not beat around the bush.  Our leadership is awful right now.

  7. If Cedar Fair didn’t want to seem so cash-grabby about it, they’d offer lockers for free for however long the current ride wait time is, then charge after that time elapses.  Steel Vengeance is an absolute joke in that Cedar Point makes you pay for park admission, then makes you pay for a locker to even get on the ride you already paid for.  It’s slimy and shady.

I have a love hate relationship with rmc. One one hand they produce crazy exhilarating rides that wow me every time I get off. But on the other hand they hurt my thighs like crazy to the point we’re I feel like I can’t ride in the back on some. And the capacity and reliability isn’t that good. Especially the Cedar Fair ones.

Let's be honest - RMC's reliability is on par with Intamin, and the capacity is even worse.

I have occasionally grayed out on the upward helix of Backlot Stunt Coaster.  I definitely did on parts of Intimidator 305 as well.

Definitely NOTHING close feeling like it on Orion to me.

Depends on how hydrated you are, if you've eaten, etc though.

I've had 20 rides on Orion thus far, in all rows.  I've never greyed out on Orion.  In comparison, I grey out about half the times I ride BLSC.

Would like to see park change hours to be open later.  People wishing to come after work wouldn't get there until >6p.  Not much incentive to come out at that point.

Agreed.  You only stay open until 7, and you give me (and many others) a lot of incentive to leave the park to go get dinner elsewhere instead.  Stay open until 10, and I'll spend my dollars there.  Is there a reason for the 7 PM closing time?  Are they just wanting operation during daylight for some reason?

Kentucky Kingdom has been issued corrective orders for not enforcing Covid precautions and safety measures.  The park insists the orders are unwarranted as they were not a part of reopening plan.

Somehow I knew Kentucky Kingdom would screw it up.  Their leadership team is an absolute mess.
