  1. Are you referring to the Zero-G roll (the third inversion) or the in-line twist (the final inversion)? I meant to quote Magenta Lizard but failed. The in-line twist is what we are talking about. I need to learn all the technical names for this stuff and I need to pay more attention while riding. Lol
  2. Rode it five times in a row last night before heading home. It was walk on at that point and I couldnt help myself. I felt really disoriented after the fifth time. Next trip I'll be sure to pace myself. The giggle roll (I had no idea that's what it was called!) I think is my favorite part.
  3. I really did! I was worried at first and felt like a loser but I talked to people every where I went if I wanted and ignored them if I didn't want to talk. It was a great day and I'm still smiling.
  4. I didn't end up on that at all! I made it to Banshee around 9:15 and rode it five times in a row....I think I have a problem.
  5. I missed all the Cirque shows but I did end up on Diamondback around 7:30 and it was raining again. 80 mph in the rain doesn't feel too good. I also stayed until close, which I didn't think I'd do! I just couldn't make myself leave without more Banshee.
  6. I'm probably not staying much longer. Between the rain and the humidity I'm worried I may end up a stinky rider everyone complains about and I know how to take care of myself! Lol
  7. Too late for me to catch the show, I'm heading over to Diamondback.
  8. Just finished Firehawk. My first time on it and it was pouring. I'm no wimp but I can't decide if I liked it or not.
  9. Sun is out and they're starting the trains back up. Wooohoo
  10. Still big thunder here but I'm at chicken shack watching people heading out of AZ. Bye bye everyone lol
  11. Don't hold it for me, I'm going to grab a bite while the storm blows over. I can meet up with you all after!
  12. I'm not leaving I'm currently huddled under a tree near DB. Lol
  13. I'm no meteorologist but it looks like it will blow over. Just started sprinkling and I heard a rumble of thunder.
  14. Walked over to DB only for it to not be running due to weather. Crud.
  15. Did Banshee 3 times in a row. Walked over for first ever ride of Firehawk and its a 90 minute wait. Dang. Walking over to Diamondback now.
  16. In the lot. I'm being a big nerd about being alone. I'll get over it. I've never been on Sunday, the lot is pretty empty. Lol
  17. Anyone out at the park right now? Heading out for my first solo trip and I'm nervous and curious as to what the lines are like today.
  18. Not mad, but hey, I edited it out to keep it family friendly. My apologies to anyone who was offended. IMO, there's a better way to let someone know that they are violating the TOS, but hey, to each their own.
  19. I bleeped it out myself, thanks, I didn't depend on the forum to do it for me. I also don't curse in public or around my kids. But, good on you for judging me from one comment.
  20. I disagree with these posts, strongly. As children, my brother and I got to do everything we wanted to in HB Land on each trip to KI, then my parents got their turn to ride the coasters that they enjoyed. While we didn't get to ride those coasters because we weren't tall enough, my brother and I were always fascinated with them and enjoyed just watching them run their course. Plus we got to spend time together as a family in line. And it taught us that the world doesn't revolve around us; why should we be the only ones who get to ride what we want to? Why shouldn't we share the joy of a trip to KI with our parents by letting them ride the rides that they like? As my parents would roll into the station, they were typically greeted with us geeking out just as much or moreso than they did while riding the ride as we grilled them with questions about how high up they were, how fast they went, and what the heck it's like to go upside-down. I mean think about what some of you are saying. You'd rather get a sitter than get to spend that time with your child(ren) while also getting to enjoy the rides that you like? "Have you heard of parenting??" Shame on all of you who question the parenting methods of any parent who does that. I feel like my parents have been personally attacked on here, and they're not here to defend themselves. It's one thing to say "I wouldn't do that with my kid(s)". I can respect anyone that has a different philosophy, even if I might disagree. But to say things like "have they heard of parenting??" crosses the line of "I disagree" and into the realm of a personal attack. I don't think it's a personal attack. When I take my kids, my daughter (who is 10 and is tall enough to ride everything) will only ride one adult coaster, BLSC. My son (who is 8 and will ride everything he is tall enough for) wants to ride stuff my daughter doesn't so we stand in line for stuff she wants to and what he wants to and if she chooses not to ride The Bat, Adventure Express, The Beast, Vortex, or Racers, she gets to sit it out while he and I ride. I don't care what people think of this.
  21. Thanks, I'll post next time and see who's going to be there that day. My son is absolutely dying to grow 4 more inches so he can ride Banshee. I told him he's going to have to wait at least another year. Poor kid, he's so small for his age compared to his classmates.
  22. I got sun poisoning at Soak City this past Saturday. It's still really red but the swelling is down and it no longer hurts. Just really itchy.Coconut oil at bedtime, cover with clothing, you'll wake up feeling much better. Good luck. I need a coaster fix. Haven't quite gotten the nerve to go to KI alone. Hell, I can't even go out to eat or the movies alone. I have issues.... Are you married/do you have kids? I don't have kids but I am married, and while I love my wife more than anything, I cherish my alone time more than ever. I have no problems being out in public alone. But I know that everyone is different, and some are vastly different on this topic. Plus it's way different for women. Divorced for almost 2 years after a 10 year marriage. I have two kids. The boy loves every ride he's tall enough for (he's 8) and my daughter isn't a coaster girl, except BLSC--it's a heights thing for her. She's 10.
