  1. Kentucky Kingdom posted their schedule for the year a few hours ago, and the summers hours are only till 8 pm for the whole week, only staying open 10 am - 10 pm July 3 and 4 for Independence Day. I believe the weekends at least used to close at 9 pm or 10 pm last year, so cutting back a little bit.
  2. Only went once this year, since I am 2 hours away, but had a great time, even though it was very cold on New Years Eve, they had a great fireworks show, and everyone seemed to be more pumped this year than last year, and I think this year was colder than last year. I tried the Holiday Turkey Ball, it was good, but half of it was just room temperature and the other half hot, if it was all hot, I'd give it a 10/10. I hope they bring back the International Restaurant WinterFest Buffet for 2026, and there were lights almost everywhere you looked, they did a great job with that!
  3. Anyone have any pictures of it with the lost lights?
  4. Yeah, it went down yesterday, most of the day I think until around 10 is when I got back on and noticed it was up.
  5. Just checked, sold out now. I might do this next year!
  6. Must be having a company buyout today, there's guests in the park, hope they have fun.
  7. The lampposts being brought back would have been so wonderful, a big missed opportunity for sure.
  8. Have fun everyone who gets to go.
  9. It was so much fun watching the videos on YouTube people have put up, and the pictures here and on Facebook. Wonderful job!
  10. Another sign WinterFest is getting closer, the Eiffel Tower Christmas Tree is all lit up now!
  11. Just voted, let’s do it. They were at number 7 yesterday, that’s a big jump to number 3! Good to see the park itself is helping now as well, with posting on their social media.
  12. Here's a pic from the KI International Street webcam, getting ready for Winterfest with some snow coming down.
  13. TEA released their attendance numbers yesterday for 2024 at Knott's during the TEA SATE NA Event; Kings Island has a healthy number coming in at 3.465 million visitors and is again the second most visited amusement park in North America. Here is some links with information. Official Release of the 2024 TEA Global Experience Index™ | Themed Entertainment Association TEA Global Experience Index™ | Themed Entertainment Association
  14. I saw that Six Flags New England got some surveys as well, so 9 parks now. I'd like to see the Vekoma multi launch coaster to Ki, it doesn't have to go over the entrance to interact with the plaza, just remove some of these trees in front of Invertigo and there is room in the spot. Kings Island's top rides for ridership's have been the thrill coasters; guests are wanting more of it.
  15. Matt Ouimet calls for change in troubled Six Flags, from Attractions Magazine. Former Cedar Fair CEO calls for change within 'troubled' Six Flags
  16. After 7 years of this being announced and being canceled, it's interesting to see what would have happened if it was built, my guess is it would have helped Ohio turn into a bigger tourists destination, and would give visitors to the state another park to visit, so it would give the state 3 parks, this being more of an Entertainment Park like they were aiming for, setting itself different than KI and CP. The Delaware County area is really booming, with Polaris there and this would have attracted even more people. What could have been, any other thoughts?
  17. The Golden Tickets 2025 was just announced and Six Flags took home 3 Golden Tickets. Kings Island had a good showing, the Kids Area went back up to #2, RiverRacers took the #2 spot for Best Water Ride and the park came in at #5 for Best Guests Experience. Here is a couple links. 18. So glad they kept Snoopy! I didn’t think it was very likely they were going to get rid of Peanuts after they just added to their kids areas of the CF legacy parks in the last 2-3 years. I can see them renewing the license with Peanuts after 2030 also, the kids area at KI is well known and I doubt they’ll want to mess that up adding Looney Tunes.
  19. The park is wasting no time; just saw they have some WinterFest lights already up in Planet Snoopy and Rivertown!
  20. This looks great, can't wait to ride it next year.
  21. Maybe we could see the Peanuts dark ride that was asked in the season pass questionnaire a year or so ago, and then the new Phantom Theater ride go in the Cyrpt building. Haven’t really seen many people talk about that possibility, that would give Planet Snoopy another ride/attraction if they went that route. Just a few more days now to see what they have planned!
  22. So what’s everyone thinking now, we’re in the middle of August and it’s still not open. Just needing a part or is it done?
  23. Pretty early to be asking this question in just the first year, if it was a Cedar Fair or Paramount question, I'd say Cedar Fair by a mile.
  24. Same here, can't wait to see what they choose to do with it! RIP Boo Blasters.
  25. Yeah I saw them taking down the Grand Carnivale sign earlier in the morning at 7:40, and putting up the Kings Island one. Here’s the pic.
