I love baseball, PKI, coasters, and too many other things to name. I just got home from the USAF, where I was training to be a cryptologic linguist...don't ask me what that is, because I don't really know...lol

Great White Shark caught in Malibu
DirtySteve replied to Browntggrr's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That's the Monterey Bay Aquarium, in Monterey, California. I actually had the pleasure of getting paid to live in Monterey for a while, and the aquarium makes the one in Newport look like a few fish tanks at a pet store. On a side note, this wont be the first great white to be housed in the aquarium. While I was living out there, they had one for a record 198 days. Previously, 16 days was the longest a great white had ever been in captivity. They had to release it, because it started to hunt and kill the other fish it was with. -
I waited 6 hours for Flight of Fear once...got all the way into the saucer, and it broke down. They told us it would not be operating the rest of the day. I was slightly upset...

Don't get your panties in a twist man...I'm just looking out for you, making sure you dont get in trouble... Oh, by the way...I don't know what fire marshall you talked to, but this comes directly from the State Fire Marshall's office..."The fire code official would need to evaluate the situation with respect to use and occupancy classifications, change of use and occupancy, fire protection, means of egress, occupant load, fire detection and alarm notification, combustibility of decorative materials, exit lights, emergency lighting, and emergency procedures." Like I said...I was just looking out for you...But, I really do wish you the best on your haunted house...from the way it sounds, you're going to have yourself a kick a...uh...can i say that word here anymore? Well, you know what I mean...have fun and be safe man!

OK...but before you do all this work, you might want to call your local fire marshal and get the necessary permits...
-
Are you going to have this haunted house open to the public? If so, I really hope you have all the necessary permits to run it

I have a few cool older items from the park. I have an old school Vortex t-shirt which some of you have seen, I have an ash tray from when the park frist opened, and I have a cool plate from the earlier years of the park.

I agree. We're all sad because the Eagles left, but they are gone now, and they aren't coming back. This thread has been done way too many times...closed...
