*KI_Karackter*
Just another thing the media will jump on to try to say that theme parks are dangerous and you should keep your kids away. Sucks.... cause that same thing could've happened on the street.
Guest kwindshawne
I wonder if they will do metal detectors now
Dane
Anyone else notice the titles of the story's exaggerate the storys? Title: "Police appealing for witnesses to stabbing at Canada's Wonderland" Story: "The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries"
pcwarryk
I completely agree, Dane. And kwindshawne, we already have metal detectors. I believe the stabbing took place outside the park, somewhere near the main gate. Most of the "horrific crimes" that happen at Wonderland happen in the parking lot/outside of the actual park. The Interpreter
Yep, parking lot as opposed to inside the park...as at Kings Dominion and Six Flags Over Georgia, as well. The Six Flags incident wasn't even on park property (but several of the alleged assailants were Six Flags employees). Still, the public finds that to get to the park, most people park in the parking lot. And safety in the parking lot is just as important as safety in the park. That all being said, no doubt there is more to this story (as there was at Six Flags Over Georgia).
