The Interpreter
As more and more people picnic in the parking lot or leave the park to eat, eventually FUN will get the message. If you don't like the prices, don't partake. If enough join you, demand will fall and prices will too, eventually. I have as much problem with much of the food quality as I do the price. Though, in fairness, I must say LaRosa's pizza has been excellent in the park of late, as long at you buy it in Rivertown or on International Street. When i'm at the park alone or with people who go to KI frequently I always picnic in the parking lot or head out to a fast food place for lunch. But if I am with people who don't go to KI very often (And these people are the ones who more often than not prefer to eat in the park) the LaRosa's on I-street and in Festhaus or Outer Hanks are the only places I will agree to eat at. RailRider
Just got back from Dollywood and I had no problem at all paying for food in the park. Aunt Granny's is an excelent all you can eat buffet, with salad bar, hot bar and dessert. The quality is great and the price is decent. The best funnel cakes of any park can be found here and lets not forget to mention the Cinamon Bread from the Grist Mill. Not to mention the giant skillets of food that can be found throughout the park and some of the best BBQ around. To me this is just one of the reassons that Dollywood is above so many of the rest. Truly wish that Cedar Fair would implement food that was half the quality as Dollywood's and I would be more willing to pay the current prices. Dont get me started on entertainment and experience. More to come from my Trip Report later in the week. I will say one thing. Sha-Kon-O-Hey!
