Kings Island Upgrades FearFest to Halloween Haunt

Park to provide guests with bigger, better, badder, scarier experience

this fall

Kings Island, Ohio - There's an all-new level of fear in town this October! The "Scare-Masters" from Knotts Berry Farm that originated and perfected theme park Halloween Haunts are bringing a bigger, better, badder and scarier experience to Kings Island this fall. Nothing and no

one is off limits!

Halloween Haunt at Kings Island will feature twice the number of monsters, a longer haunt time, new highly-intense and terrifying attractions including chain link mazes, frightening wooded trails,

demented clowns in 3D, and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet.

Gates to the underworld for Halloween Haunt will be open from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night September 28 through October 27 and daily from 7 p.m. to midnight October 28-31.

Halloween Haunt will include graphic scenes, suggestive themes and intense imagery and is intended for mature audiences. Parents, please be advised.

Click here for a list of Haunts, Fear Zones, and Entertainment at Halloween Haunt!

Additional event information, including locations where tickets can be purchased, will be announced at a later date.

Scare Fairs are held every Friday and Saturday from 2-6 p.m. through September 8 at Kings Island. Ghouls and ghosts who transform the park from a sunny summer destination into the Midwest's largest and scariest haunted event can earn up to $10 per hour.

For Scare Fair information, contact the Kings Island Employment Office

at (513) 754-5748 or visit www.pki.com/haunt.

Since all the info is released... I'll be haunting in "Tombstone TERRORtory"!!! So drop by and say "AAAHHHHH"""..... Haha. -Hauntguy

^I'll be sure to do that... but you better bring your A-Game... I don't scare too easily ;)

Cornstalkers only open from 8-12? That kinda makes me happy, cause I'll be working in Cornstalkers, and I will be needing to do work on school projects during that time of the year.

^^ And I'm sure you're going to get so much schoolwork done in that extra hour between midnight and 1am on a friday/saturday night..... ;)

That's prime time for most of us. ha ha

I can see most of the Fearzones closing before the park closes. I mean, imagine the crowd control issues.

I, of course, am already terrified at the prospect of the Haunt. We all know the reason I planned my wedding for Oct. 6 was to miss a weekend of the Halloween event. haha Even with the lights on, it sounds horrific.

Nice job, KI!!

Wow congrats on the upcoming wedding! That's my dad's birthday, so I'm coming home on the 5th and hopefully going to FF on the 6th :D

I always wanted to sneak up behind a creeper and scare THEM haha.. now that would be the ultimate scare!

...sounds like someone should spend their honeymoon with us at the Haunt. ;)

The Kings Island website has Dead Awakening as a house, and Circus in 3 d is not on the site, have they decided to drop the clowns or add the Dead? The Halloween Haunt website has the Clowns and leaves out the Dead.

Huh?

Circus of Horrors in 3D is still listed under Mazes...it's third from last.

The Dead, as you call it, is listed as an attraction (show).

According to the website:

Dead Awakening

SHOWPLACE THEATRE – 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and Midnight

NEW! If you believe the world is a dark and evil place, then Dead Awakening will re-affirm that! This unique adult-oriented, R-rated contemporary horror and music video style show includes graphic scenes and disturbing activity as you witness a young lady’s gruesome nightmare unfold.

Not exactly family entertainment!

So "Headless hollow" is gone?....no more train haunt

Edit::

Similar Cowboy Carnage Logo screwed me up

Did you miss THIS under Mazes?

Tombstone Terror-TORY

RIVERTOWN TRAIN RIDE – 8pm until 1am

Covered bridges and foggy terrain disguise the evil that lurks in every direction as you travel aboard a midnight train. But don't be alarmed. We guarantee you'll make it to your final destination!

There's only one place around with 13 haunted attractions including chain link mazes, frightening wooded trails, demented clowns in 3D, and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet.

Thats what I'm pointing out, on the Haunt site it shows Circus in 3d, but on the ki website, it omits the Circus and adds another attraction called Dead Awakenings. I was unsure if they were dropping one for the other.

And as I've said twice already (:)), the Haunt site DOES include the Dead Awakenings show...it's listed under Attractions...

This event will be far far far better than just a few name changes, but I'm guessing you'll have to wait see with everyone else, Mr. Bonifield.

I personally cannot wait. It sounds like they're really going all out this year.

They're already gearing up..had the hearse and the fog machine "practicing" in front of the employee entrance today..
