Vortex Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I don't know iff this has been mentioned but it looked like there is some construction or some kind of work being done by the carousel Do you mean behind the carousel where the old Paramount Story was? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Touchdown, since Tampa is south of Orlando, the best theme park north of Orlando is probably in the Busch chain. Were it not, I would think you had your suffix wrong! Quote
Touchdown Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Touchdown, since Tampa is south of Orlando, the best theme park north of Orlando is probably in the Busch chain. Were it not, I would think you had your suffix wrong! Even if BGA was north of Orlando I would still say the same thing. To me, BGE's European themeing "works" better (dont ask me to prove that one I cant) the park is shadier, the rides are better, and the employees are nicer. However I will admit that I have a strong personal attachment to the place (I first visited there when I was 5) and 2 out of the 3 times Ive been to BGA one area (Serengeti Plain, Stanleyville) has been closed for construction and the third was only for an evening and all three of them occurred in the summer (when it was ungodly hot.) But this is getting off topic. Heres the real thing about the off season, its there because the park believes that it can make more money being closed then staying open. As a side benefit, it allows them to have new construction and do major rehabs without impacting the guests or paying for expensive 3rd shift crews. Quote
Beast1979 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 It's allways so sad to see coasters covered in snow. But not when there's track peices in the parking lot, or cranes in the park! Beast1979 Quote
raptor Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I can't remember exactly, it wasn't the paramount story area, I think it was just off to the side of the carousel, I think behind the clock. Quote
TOPGUN1993 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Did it look like a "Worksite"?... ahah Quote
raptor Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I'm not sure what was going on, there was I believe orange barrells and caution tape. Quote
Touchdown Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I'm not sure what was going on, there was I believe orange barrells and caution tape. Raptor, hate to break this to you but what you saw was not a construction zone, but a scare zone themed to a construction zone named "The Worksite." Quote
Cory Butcher Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Cory Butcher under a new name? ? Who is Cory Butcher? I am a new poster here, but I can assure you Im not him (if you dont believe me, I use the same handle on Coasterbuzz and Pointbuzz.) I just felt I needed to plug BGE, because as a whole people don't really know about it and in my opinion is the best theme park north of Orlando. That said, I love KI too, it comes in as my second favorite theme park not in Florida and Im ecstatic to now live close enough to have it be a day trip for me. I also cant wait to experience the haunt in a month. HAHAHA, yeah deff not me. I still use my name on here, just havent been on in a while. I just havent got on much. Quote
raptor Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Darn, I figured it was nothing, but it caught my eye. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I'm not sure what was going on, there was I believe orange barrells and caution tape. "The Worksite", a Halloween Haunt atraction. I caught my eye to while I was riding IJST. Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I was just wondering what happens to Kings Island during the off-season... The park flies south for the winter... Quote
