Dvo Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 So I'm in a predicament. My dad's birthday is this weekend, and I'm coming to town to visit him. However, he's leaving early saturday morning on a fishing trip, so I'll only see him for a few hours tomorrow night. I was thinking about jumping up to Halloween Haunt, but I can't decide if I should go from 7:00-1 am on Saturday, or I think I can probably go from about 9:15 - 1 am tomorrow night. I know it's a shorter time, but I'm scared of the crowds on Saturday. Which do you think would be better??? Thanks in advance. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I would say Friday nights are way less crowded and your likely to have plently of time to do all the haunts and some rides on Friday. Saturday you can ride more in the morning and afternoon but the real crowds come around 6:00-6:30 and the park is usally packin by then. The crowds will start to die down around about 11:00-11:30 though. Quote
hauntguy Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Friday, plus with the time you'll be there... most of the crowds will have started to die down! -Hauntguy Quote
Ki Man Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Friday nights = AWESOME! Short lines for all the rides and attractions. Plus, everyone leaves at about 11-12, so you will have plenty of time to get on all the rides. Quote
Dvo Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 ok I think I'm going to try for tomorrow night then.. anyone else going? Quote
AdventureExpresser Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Hello everyone, I think we are going to try our luck this Saturday with Halloween Haunt. I would rather go on Friday, but when you live 3 hours away, you want to make the most of as much time as you can. Of course, if they would ever bring back the campground, I could just spend the night,,,,Hint,Hint.... On Saturday, I will be wearing a light blue Busch Gardens shirt that says "Defy the Five" on it, if anyone comes across me there, introduce yourself from this sight, I would love to meet some of the people I have chatted with on here..... Im 3 hours away too (Toledo.) I just bit the bullet and bought a hotel room for Friday Night of closing weekend. That way I dont get home at 4am, and I get 1 day, 1.5 nights as a "celebration" of the end of the coaster season . Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I am going tommrow (Friday) and Saturday. I would go Sunday but that is reserved for football games. Quote
teenageninja Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 ^ If you were smart you would save Saturday for football j/k I'm going the 19th, I heard Friday is better, and it works out better for me. Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 From my experience, it seems that 99% of the time, Fridays are better than Saturdays, nomatter what time it is. Quote

I'll be there on Saturday along with my nephew and two of my cousins. It's about a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive from Lincoln Park, MI. I'll be wearing a white "GET VERTICAL MOUTAIN DEW" shirt and a baseball cap that says "TECHNOMATIX" on it. Ironically, we picked October 6th because we thought the weather was too hot in August.
