K.I. #1
I'm planning a trip in 2008 but I'm kinda torn deciding what month to go my choices are May, June, August. Of course I want the least crowded times and we will be staying at the KI INN for a week. With 3 days in the park, my family was planning on Disney World but are kids and us are not into the magical themes anymore. So we're dedicating our time to KI, if anyone could please give me some attendance records for the months I'm pondering I would be thankful. The Interpreter
Weekdays in June or the weekends in May FAR beat August, though even then the weekdays are normally not too bad. Have you stayed at the Kings Island resort in the past? If so, how long ago? If not, there are much nicer choices a bit further away for a lot less money. It is not the place it once was, though some still like it. You do know, I trust, there is no connection with the park or its current owners, other than sharing a name. Hey thanks, give me your hotel choices that are close and kid friendly.
The Interpreter
You will soon get some by others here, who have kids and stay around the park. I normally stay with friends up around Dayton, but the recent experiences I have heard (and in one case personally experienced) at the resort have not been ones that commend the place. So, where SHOULD he and his family stay?
TH13TEEN
I like Great Wolf Lodge but it can be expensive but the water park it great
Avatar
I have stayed at many hotels in the area and can help some. Yes the KI Inn is in a bad need of a rehab, area hotels close to KI charge a lot when just a few miles away you get more and a nicer hotel. GWL is right next to KI but for as much as they charge I like to spend all my time at the resort to get my value worth. 3 questions How old are you children? Are you planning 3 days – 2nights? Are you interested in other family activities in the area for a slightly longer stay?

Avatar
Thanks Interpreter I just caught that. Recently I suggested to another member of a possible week’s vacation some possible possibilities in this post http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=184157 I also like Disney a lot as I have a DD7 and we always stay on Disney property at the end of August through September for free dinning. I like KI a lot and hope you go there, but I just would like you to know a possible solution for a trip to Florida for a fellow member. Book the Disney free Dinning promotion in September (Value room $82.00 per night) that includes 1 Counter service meal, 1 table service meal and 1 snack per person per day at no charge to you, it’s included with your room. You could do breakfast at the resort for your counter meal then go to Sea World or Universal Studious or even Aqautica Water Park due to open in March. Then in the evening go have you free table service meal at one of the Disney resorts or Downtown Disney. HTH some If any of these possible choices inters you I will give you some names of hotels in the prospected location choice.
