CoastersRZ
Having worked at Coney Island as a ride operator the past six summers, I can say that I thoroughly have had fun at my job running the rides. Yes, the pay is not that great, and the hours can be extremely long. But I personally have had fun at Coney, and people that work at Cedar Point likely have the same sentiments! The biggest thrill I have working at Coney is when a kid is scared to ride a ride. When you convince them that they will have fun and they ride it and are smiling when they get off, that is an intrinsic reward of the job! Another memory I have from Coney, is when some small kid recognized me from his visit the previous year to the park! If you are considering working at Cedar Point, Kings Island, Coney Island or any other seasonal amusement park, I highly recommend it! You will likely have fun, gain some experience and meet some awesome friends! I even might be returning to Coney this summer for my seventh season, because I have so much fun there!
