JacksonPKI
It's always good for a park to expand, but don't interfeer with residents. Let's keep in kind that Most people would not enjoy a coaster in their backyard/
The Interpreter
Uh, the article indicates the proposal for a new coaster has been dropped, and only two rides are now proposed. There is a substantial possibility that a noise ordinance will be passed, and the park faces neighborhood problems. By the way, the park is 100 years old. Wonder which of the residents bought their homes before the park was built? Could they not see the park's presence when they bought? And what if they paid less because they live near the park? Does not the park have a right to continue to exist? And the article points out that the park would probably NOT be grandfathered under any noise ordinance. Can anyone say taking of property rights without compensation?
