Kings Island Resort & Conference Center Employee David Smith has won the 2007 Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Service for his help in taking care of a family in a medical emergency situation. Smith is a resident of the Eastgate area. He has worked for the resort for about a year and also servers as a teacher in the Clermont County School District.

Any more details about the medical situation? Just curious. It's good to see someone in the CF chain get some props.

Cedar Fair does not own, operate or manage The Kings Island Resort and Conference Center. The resort's employees are not Cedar Fair employees.

Because it was a nice thing to do...to recognize a man who performed an act to be admired. And because the place DOES share a name with Kings Island...Note, however, that when the news at the Resort is bad (and there has been some in the past year), the park does not identify with the Resort. Understandably.

Well, still. The original sentiment was to congratulate the guy. I don't really care if he's CF or not.
