I will be driving to Kings Island on saturday april 19th. After checking in at the king's island resort, does anyone know if

the season pass center will be open. I would hope i could process my season pass on saturday instead of waiting till

sunday. Thank you.

I highly doubt the season pass center will be open to the general public on Saturday, April 19th, as the park is closed to the general public. Last year they were open in the evenings during the week before the park opened (on weekdays). I`m not sure if they plan on doing that again this year or not. (Keep in mind that last year, ALL pass holders had to go to pass processing to swipe out their temporary passes for their permanent 2007 passes, which is something that was specific to last year).

I WOULD say call the park and ask, but time and again I have been given information that I was told was accurate (even by high level managers there), only to arrive at the park and be told that it was not. The situation last season that I could buy a Kings Island season parking pass with a Carowinds Maxx pass comes immediately to mind. Upon arriving at the park, not only did they tell me that was NOT accurate (even though the then Kings Island Admissions Manager had assured me that I could), they attempted to seize my validly purchased voucher without refund. Only after a long and tedious pleading session (on opening day, no less) did they finally refund my money, while telling me the matter would be resolved to my satisfaction. I called the park again and agan waiting for an answer...and never got one. I asked at Guest Relations during visits, and was told they were having problems with the conversion to Cedar Fair (how this affected not being able to give me a straight answer I will never know) At Kings Island, no answer ever came. Only after extended discussions with the corporate office in Sandusky was the matter resolved.

So, my best answer is I don't know, and I doubt they know either. The answer they tell you today may change next week. With all due respect, at least last year, I have never seen such confusion and arbitrary decisions as I did in admissions at Cedar Fair.

I'd say all this has changed but for one thing. To this day, no one still seems to know with certainty whether or not a Platinum pass gets home park benefits anywhere but where purchased. Some parks and reps say yes, some say no, some say I don't know...This is especially frustrating after last year I purchased Joe Cool with the Cedar Fair Maxx pass I eventually ended up with to get early entry to the rides, only to watch Kings Island Maxx pass holders get early entry they were supposedly not entitled to (and had not paid for) while still others got free parking with a Maxx pass without having to purchase an Ohio parking pass I paid $75 for...or we could talk about how it was widely asserted last fall that for guest comfort Halloween Haunt at Kings Island would no longer be free with a season pass, and now it is again.

Things change. To put the most charitable light on this, opening day is more than six weeks away. Once it gets closer, I'd then call the park.

Ya last year we had early ride entry and free parking for Cedar Point using our Maxx Pass from KI. It was awesome!

Yeah I was talking about a few years back when season pass holders got a whole weekend with the park all to themselves. I believe it was in April right at the end of my spring break. I also believe it was in 2005. It was fun even though they didn't open the rides until 11:30 because it was 38 degrees I still got to ride everything at least 4 times each (coasters). Not much of a fan of flats that spin you in circles.
