March 31, 200818 yr Day one: Saturday Checked into my hotel (San Luis Resort), we didn't get our room we payed for. We all went to the pool and the beach. Later that day we went to the Rain Forest Cafe' and i had a BBQ pizza. When we got back to the hotel me and my friend went swimming and went down the water slide. Day two: Sunday I woke up and skateboarded to Jack In The Box with Ashley. I got a breakfast burrito (really good.) Around 10 am. we got back and changed to our swim wear and headed for Schlitterbahn. Unfortunitly the outdoor side was closed for the season because 80 degrees is to cold to swim. It was only me and Ashley, no one else went. First we rode Torrent River (lazy river with huge waves.) Then Guada Loopy and Loopy Luge. I cut my knee on Loopy Luge. After a few more rides and near death experiances on Torrent River we rode Rohr and Faust & Furious. The water park was pretty fun but bearly themed. We ate at some Italian restraunt that night. Day three: Monday Coming soon. So far ive tooken alot of pics but i forgot my cord thing to save the pics onto the computer. Ill post the pictures sometime next week.
April 2, 200818 yr Author Day three: Monday Slept in pretty late, just hung out at the beach and pool. Later that day we all went to some mexican restraunt and i had some fajitas. After that we went to a couple of gift shops and went swimming at the pool. Pretty relaxing day. Day four: Tuesday Woke up early and ran a few miles, then a few of us went sea shell hunting. I wasn't that into it so i just popped jellyfish and threw coconuts at the ocean. Once we got back we went swimming and layed out at the pool. We then left for Kemah Boardwalk. About 45 minutes later we arrived noticing that only the ferris wheel was operating! I asked a park employee if Boardwalk Bullet would open, and he said no. Everyone was hungry so we ate at Saltgrass Steakhouse. I noticed a train fly by through the window. It was the Boardwalk Bullet! Of course i went to ride it! It was amazing! Great airtime, never last it's speed until the last few turns, and did i mention the airtime? I rode it 8 or 9 times. I couldn't forget about The Inverter and Aviator. Inverter was pretty fun, kinda painful though... and aviator was boaring! After a few more rides on Boardwalk Bullet i rode the pirate ship. Now im home and writing this long TR. And don't worry, i took alot of pics, they'll come soon!
April 2, 200818 yr Great TR beaver! I haven't been to Texas since 2004. I'm not sure if he represents only one, or all of the Schlitterbahn parks, but KI's former PR director and friend of KICentral, Jefferey Seibert, is now a spokesperson for them. The only Schlitterbahn I have been to is the one in New Braunsfels, but just tubing on the river down there is fun enough....except for the snakes. When I went to Kemah the only rides they had there were for younger kids and a train, which was interesting. It was a cool place none the less, thats great you got to ride the Boardwalk Bullet. Can't wait to see your pictures!
April 7, 200818 yr Author Thanks for the replies! I took alot of pictures, but i can't find my cord thing that lets me save them to the computer, and for some reason photobucket isn't working on my pc. Ill try to get them on here ASAP.
