KI Preview & Don Helbig Profile article

That Infosino guy is too biased. All he writes about is KI this, KI that, food this, and Star Wars that. Just once I would like to read an article from him about lets say star turtles, or the effects of breathing next to an alcoholic. (Good article though)

He's not biased...he's....nostalgic! :)

I did not want to use nostalgic, because too many people think of that as old and leave the dignified part out.

I guess we will just have to see on the 20th.

Infosino may seem bias, but he has written 92 articles about various topics for different publications - not including the 25 he has done the past 3 weeks in for temporary staff writer job. Yes, Infosino does love amusement parks and science fiction. But he is a serious journalist.

Here are a few articles from Infosino related to neither Kings Island, nor Star Wars, nor other science fiction, nor any other amusement parks:

Does Infosino always refer to himself in the third person?

And does he not appreciate the good natured ribbing that only friends do to each other?

All very, very good articles, but still nothing on star turtles or the effects of breathing next to an alcoholic.

(Monroe hoping that italianchef is not a frugal gourmet)

Sorry folks, but I cannot write about breathing next to an alcoholic because I drink so much wine that I am immune to the smell. As far as star turtles are concerned, I have requested interviews from several and they all snubbed me. :(

Well he was speaking to the esteemed Don "Just Call Me Mr. Nostalgia" Helbig.

Kinda like a Seinfeld episode?

If you are paying for a one day admission, you can do much better than the stated gate price. I see the day coming when tickets are sold at the gate only by ATM like machines...

"The name changes of the rides themselves probably won't have any effect on my park experience," said Karen Talley, an enthusiast from Lebanon, who has visited the park almost daily since 1992. "What will change for me is the Cedar Fair part. Now that it is a Cedar Fair park, I am not sure if it will affect my enjoyment because there are so many new people. I will miss the family-type park that was under Paramount and I'm not sure if Cedar Fair employees will give me the same type of enjoyment because I knew almost everyone up there."

I don't get what Karen was getting at in this quote. Did she mean that she's afraid that KI won't cater towards families, or that she's afraid that she'll loose the family-style fraternization that she had with the employees?

Perhaps she is saying that many of the people she knew and adored from Paramount Parks have left Cedar Fair, either by their own choice or that of Cedar Fair.

Knowing Karen, that's what I kind of assumed too, but that wasn't what her quote implied.

By the way, Kings Island's web site is www.VisitKingsIsland.com, NOT www.pki.com... not anymore...

Seems that she's saying that she's not certain she's going to like it but that she's going to presume that she will not?

Certainly not the way to go into the season if she thinks so dearly about the park.

Is that coasterwmn?
