italianchef Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Over the weekend I met a lady, who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair, at a science fiction fan group meeting. She told me that she loves roller coasters and hasn’t been to Kings Island since it was still with Paramount. This lady asked me what Kings Island’s ride safety policies are for someone with her condition (cerebral palsy and in a wheel chair) so that she would know in advance: Which rides she can and cannot ride. Which rides she can enter through the exit. I was advised to get this information fron guest relations, which I will on Sunday. But does anyone know what the policies are so that I don't have to wait to long? Thanks, IC Quote
CoastersRZ Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Well, the best way to get accurate information, without waiting until Sunday when the park opens, is to call the park directly. That way you would be speaking with a representative from the park who would be able to give you the specifics on Kings Island`s policy. Quote

beastrider97 Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I'm not very sure but I know she can't ride Firehawk. May God Bless that women and everyone else with disabilities. Quote
deerhunter Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 my wife spent the summer of '07 in a wheel chair..and we felt guilty about coming up through the exits. The rest of the park shot us dirty looks and made snide comments. Quote
MarketingExpress Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Chef: As others have said, I would contact the park. Especially since the disability policy will be dramatically changing for this season. Quote
