CoastersRZ
Coney Island has posted their 2008 park map on their website here. The new National City Pavilion at Riverbend Music Center is present. Additionally, the new Turtle Parade, Eurobungy Dome, and River Runner attractions are indicated. And the new locations of the Giant Slide and Frog Hopper are also indicated. TOPGUN1993
What is "C.I. Mining Co."?
CoastersRZ
That was actually new last season. It is located near Moonlite Square. The park built essentially a large "water tower" with a series of chutes for the water to travel in. Similar to how the River Town Mining Co. was at Kings Island, guests can, for a nominal fee, pan for treasures. Prior to that being there, it used to be home to a swingset/ treehouse structure, only without any swings. It was one of those Rainbow playsets, complete with a slide. TOPGUN1993
And whats up with this?
CoastersRZ
That is an error in the map, one that if you view it normally, is barely perceptible, because of the Eurobungy Dome. That building next to the Ferris Wheel is Lakeside Pavilion. It is the home to Coney Island`s live shows. It is also the home of Coney`s season pass processing center, guest relations, and the Museum Shop. This shop sells park souvenirs, as well as detailing the history of the park. On the South side of this building is Backstage Cafe, serving various treats, including ice cream. Also, for those who are not aware, the Eurobungy Dome will be an upcharge attraction, similar to Famous Fairways Mini Golf. I do not know what the pricing will be yet for this new attraction. Reon
I think they were reffering to the glitch that showed dodgem's in the Lakeside Pavillion. Speaking of glitches, when I try to load the map, it always shows a sequence of full map with few rides on it, full map, then map of random parts with lots of white space. CoastersRZ
I know what TG1993 was referring to. I was pointing out that it was indeed an error, and describing the real function of Lakeside Pavilion. I`m not sure about the error with the map. Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed? The pdf file is only about 4.87mb, so it is not a large file. It is, however, not a flattened image, which is what I suspect may be giving you issues. italianchef
I'll be there this Saturday pouring drinks as a volunteer. I can't wait to see the park.
dilbert
Ive also noticed the dodgems at the live shows building. Also if you look right below the tempest you can see one of the Frog Hoppers frogs. Those are the mistakes Ive noticed.
