Dollywood

Word on the street is that Herschend is exploring the possibility of building lodging at/near Dollywood, with theming based on either Dolly's life, other nations and their cultures or country chic.

Man, does Dollywood do anything wrong?

Talk about a park that has been on mark for years.

That would be nothing short of amazing! Next to KI, Dollywood is my favorite summer spot! With the addition of the other two high end resorts near the park I think that Dollywood is really beginning to develop past just being a place or something to do in Pigeon Forge to a destination within itself. I say because how my opinion of Dollywood has changed over the past few years.

I agree...Dollywood is a class act.

However, what I find somewhat humorous is that the same people who are getting your praise at Herschend now are the same people who were running Paramount Parks a few years back...

I'm just sayin'... ;)

Some of them.....but by no means all.

Jane Cooper, in particular, is there, and consulting. Craig Ross is there.

Some of the other prime Paramount people landed other places (like Mr. Webber, who ended up at Palace Entertainment, which has since been acquired)....and some haven't been heard from since (like Tim Fisher...)

Herschend was a class act before the Paramount peeps appeared there, and has remained so. They value their people, and their guests. It shows.

Nor did I say *every* PP employee is now at Herschend. (Isn't the guy from design & development also there now? His name is Esperanza or something?)

But, at any rate, I'm just teasing my friend Woofer...it was a good opening that I couldn't resist. ;)

And to Echo.... Hershend has been doing an amazing job for quite some time.

I went on a supvervisor's trip to Dollywood back in the 80's.

The Park Then and Now are Night and Day.

From what it seems, those that were Paramount Managment have shaken their Deamons and come into the light.

On A Side Not.......

..... How Awesome is Avenue Q?

I been listening to these songs at work all day!

^ See...just like Dolly says "redemption comes in many forms" :D

Anthony Esparza was the entertainment & design guy who I couldn't remember his name...

I just saw Avenue Q for the second time last Saturday night! (I saw it in NYC a few years ago.) I absolutely love it--I have the whole soundtrack from iTunes.

A friend of mine actually refers to his Dell laptop as "the porn machine", so I bought him the "Internet is for Porn" mouse pad
