thatbandguy8807
I remember back in the day when the Festhaus had ice in it for an ice show. Don't remember the specifics though, I just remember it had ice. It's interesting how easy it seems for KI to just move an ice surface around. I also remember the magic show in the KI Theater. Man I've seen a few shows at KI. I KNOW! I REMEMBER THAT TOO!! i think i remember a part of it geing like a star trek skit..i think. but dont completely take my word for it i was only around the age of like 4 or 5 lol. only 14 or 15 years ago. but i think its neat too. i cant wait to see the new one this year. WooferBearATL
...You know, the Hussler store sells adult DVDs and they don't sell them at Kings Island. Does this mean that Kings Island is loosing big money by not selling those products too? Probably not. So that was the inspiration for Halloween Haunt? Now, I get it. Sigh. You beat me to it! I was going to say, "This Year at Halloween Haunt... The Hustler Store." We're all guilty of it... walking through an adult bookstore and then WHAM! You get an epiphany. You think to yourself, "Man, you know what would be a GREAT idea for a haunted attraction at a theme park?" Nah, we're not all guilty of it. But then we all don't think it's a good idea publicly berate people at the park, make light of suicide, etc.
The Interpreter
Nor do we all think a Halloween Haunt with "no limits" is a good idea, nor one with mature themes and suggestive situations. But there's money in it, so....apparently. Just as there is money--at least in the short run--in not making things from scratch, in pricing soft drinks at $3.49 and up, in not serving German food in a very German area (?!?!), etc. Let's face it, any owner of Kings Island is going to do some things right and some things wrong from our individual perspectives, but only a very few of us feel it necessary to cheerlead and defend the park even in situations where we don't necessarily agree with what we publicly say. Sigh.

chuck
Me and the family went at 3 and it was great. My youngest daughter is madly in love with Josh so I am shore we will be seeing it allot. Today is Josh's last show in Country Line, he was filling in for someone, but he will be in the 80's show when it starts.
Kawana
I have to say that I enjoyed the show. Josh is a true performer, and a consummate professional. That guy impresses me. I went at 4 on Saturday, and he was sweating up a storm. The show is pretty fun to watch. I recommend it.

Many people watch terrorists decapitate innocents and it always receives many internet hits. So should we pick someone from the guest pool and execute them each night? Or should we just take the web films and put them up in the park?

Or should we just take the web films and put them up in the park? I agree with you. I mean, look at shows like Viva La Bam in which the whole show is based off Bam torturing his parents and his uncle. At the same time, many things from Haunt could be viewed that way: murder, execution, Satanic rituals, etc. The list goes on and on and on. I took my good friend Jackie to see the show and warned her about the scene when Hobbs hangs himself. She and I had lost a friend to suicide in that manner a few months earlier. She kind of jumped when it came and admitted that she wished they hadn't included it, but still admitted that she really liked the show. I guess it all comes down to Haunt being for some people and not for others. If anyone would have been upset by the scene, it would have been her, but she was ok with it... and some people have had no brush with the issue and are mortified by it. Woofer, I really encourage you to see the show if it comes back this year. I think you'll see that the show doesn't necessarily glorify all of its content. Rather, it portrays it. Even in the scene at the end where Natalie Gibson is murdered, they even scripted in a tag at the end where Hobbs kind of gives a "what have I done??" look before being pulled off stage.
