April 22, 200818 yr Hi all. Been reading this site for about a year and a half now. Have to feed the addiction somehow! We went to opening day Sunday and I saw an adult wearing an orange (it may have been yellow with orange writing) bracelet with the King's Island lettering. It was one of those paper ones like the kids get, so he would not have bought it anywhere as it is something disposable. Just wondering what it meant? Thanks so much!
April 22, 200818 yr It was probably for some group thing....like soft drinks at no additional charge all day, or for entry to the group's picnic....
April 22, 200818 yr Author Thanks much! Was certain it was something simple. It was the only one I saw that day, but then, on opening day, I had my eyes pointed upwards!
April 22, 200818 yr it was the height addmition cause i had one. it also could be the same thing the other people say.

April 22, 200818 yr I did see a picnic event going on at the picnic grove on Sunday, but my guess would be a wrist band to show ride operators that they are under a certain height and the color is orange in the height guide. You Must Be Under: 80” Tall to ride Drop Tower – Firehawk 78” Tall to ride Invertigo 76” Tall to ride Delirium - Run Away Retar
April 22, 200818 yr Thats a great idea for the ride wristbands .. gets rid of any waiting in line and then getting ticked off that you cant ride it for people who don't know the requirements. Hopefully they do that all year that is a nice added feature from Cedar Fair .. they really are doing a fabulous job at Kings Island in my opinion.
April 22, 200818 yr The ride measurement program existed under Paramount, as well. Guest relations used to do the measuring at the front of the park, then later in the information booth under the Eiffel Tower.
April 22, 200818 yr One thing I learned about this year was the green wristband for kids. Put it on the child and write the parents cell # (if they have one) on it-speeds up the process of reuniting each other if they get separated. I dont remember them last year if they were available at all.

April 22, 200818 yr Yep, CF is good at looking like they do things better. Terpy, who just had to. Which of course is one step beyond Paramount. Heck, even when they thought they were doing well.... it looked like ..... gravel, closed shops, closed rides, etc.

I actually called mom after the gym. First thing out of her mouth, "When are you coming up?"
April 22, 200818 yr Indeed, The Beast is calling you... Oh, woofer.....oh woofer.....experience Kings Island, and the one and only Beast....
April 22, 200818 yr Indeed, The Beast is calling you... Oh, woofer.....oh woofer.....experience Kings Island, and the one and only Beast.... To this day, The Beast is my favorite Woodie. There is nothing like riding it at dusk as the fog begins to fall over the track. It's funny, it's almost spiritual to ride it then.

Top of the first lift hill looking at the fog coming off the river....... Top of the second lift hill looking at the lights of the park through the fog........ Temperature not too hot or cold...... Without a care in the world...... It is perfect!!!
April 23, 200818 yr And, back on topic, I believe the orange wristbands are for taller people who are under the maximum height. I know someone who is tall and they said they were given a wristband for that reason. (I'm only 6'1" so I never have that problem, just repeating what I've been told)

April 23, 200818 yr alot of the people that come from the lodge next door have braclets on for using their water area. We seen them last year with them on.
April 23, 200818 yr Orange wristbands signify that a person is 54 inches, not that they are under the max height for certain rides. Unless it has changed this year....

See you in the fog (If its not too thick:) ).
