Kawana
Hey all. I had a quick question. I was planning on taking a two day trip up to CP, and at least two trips to KI with my girlfriend this summer. Today at work I figured that I should just get a platinum pass instead of paying for the trips separately. Does this sound sane to anybody else? Also, how (or what) is the best way to buy it? If I wait to get it at the park, I know I'll have to pay for parking, but will that go towards the price of the passes? If I get them online, I'm just nervous about spending that much money online. Is there anywhere else to get it besides the park? I know Meijer sells season passes, but I'm not sure about the platinum passes. Thanks in advance for the help. The Interpreter
You can actually buy a platinum pass from Kings Island and use it at Cedar Point. I'd HIGHLY recommend getting it processed in Cincinnati before you go. The lines at Cedar Point for season pass processing make the Kings Island ones look small....and yes, you get your parking money you paid on the day you get the pass refunded. Cedar Point (and I presume Kings Island) sells passes by phone. Cedar Point's Phone - You can purchase by phone Monday - Friday. 419.627.2309. Or you can buy the pass online and get processed (again, preferably in Cinci if that is convenient for you.) Cedar Point also has pre-park opening processing (they usually do). Even then, the lines can be but usually are not long. From their website: Your Season or Platinum Pass Voucher* may be redeemed for a Pass ID Card at Cedar Point's Season Pass Center (located at the main gate) beginning Wednesday, April 16, 2008. (*Cedar Point Season Pass Voucher must be redeemed at Cedar Point. Platinum Pass Voucher can be redeemed at any Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement park.) Season Pass Center Dates and Hours: DATES HOURS Wednesday, April 16 -Friday, May 9, 2008: Mon-Tues: Closed Wed-Fri: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Sat-Sun: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Kawana
I'm heading down to KI this Saturday so I'll get them processed there. That's good to know that the parking turns out to be free. Thanks for the help, I guess I'll just wait till I get to KI to get the passes.
tigellinus
....and yes, you get your parking money you paid on the day you get the pass refunded. Ahhhh.....I still remember the day in 2004 when I got my first KI season pass (since I now lived in OH), and actually being astonished and surprised by getting my parking fee refunded to me!?!? Keep in mind, I wasn't an enthusiast like now and had no idea how it worked, and it was just as if some stranger had given me $10 (or whatever parking was in 04) for free!!! House
I'm going tomorrow for the first time this season. On the perk list posted here on the forum it said we get 30 minutes of early ride time. Have they already started this? Will we have early ride time tomorrow?
cholderfield
Early ride time is only on specified dates. As of today, no dates have been specified. Chris
House
Man that blows! At least we have free parking. What time does pass processing start? I still have to do that. Do you think the lines will be long for it?
