KIBeast
As many of you know, I recently announced that I am going to be a daddy. I surely do appreciate all of the well wishes. I have CF season passes and I would like to go at least one time to KI. I am wanting to start a list of rides that we can ride, considering the situation. If anyone has this kind of information, please share with me as I would kinda like to get an idea of what we can ride before we make a plan to go. First, let me start by saying that we will definitely be catching some shows, so, no need to add those. And we also know that coasters are out. Let's start this with one that I know for sure we can do: (As a side note, if you don't mind, just copy the list as we go along so that I may have a final one that will be complete). Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, KIBeast 1)KI&MV RR

KIBeast
6 weeks. Will probably be a few months - 6 months when we get to go.

Browntggrr
You could contact guest relations and explain what is going on. Not necessarily to get your money back, but for credit for a future pass. It's a long shot, but the worst they can say is no. Being that she will be that far along, I suggest : 1.) KI&MV RR 2.) Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle 3.) Eiffel Tower 4.) Crocodile Run
cassie_KY
Carousel (in the sleigh thing) as long as we are not nauseous by just standing up (it happens guys!) I am also a fan, while it is not a ride, of feeding the fish by Outer Hanks. I also like waching the Slingshot. I spend a good bit of time watching people launch. Personal favorite was these two huge guys. They get on and when it reaches the top, you see them reach out and hold hands they were so scared. Then, they get off, they shake it off and act all tough. KIBeast
Thank you everyone, for the replies. Brwntggr, I will call guest relations and see what, if anything, can be done. We had to call once already and they did us one favor (which I won't mention as I don't want to get anyone in trouble). I like the idea of feeding fish and some people watching too. I know one thing, there is a waffle cone in my future.

IheartKI
I've been to Kings Island twice now while pregnant. I have three kids, but I was there when I was pregnant with my first in 2004. Anyway, I went knowing that there wasn't much I could ride, but more for the people watching, good company I was with, and more importantly, THE FOOD! I did ride the little kiddie train in NU, but that was only because we had kids in our group. Other than that, I really didn't ride anything else. All the rides have a warning out in front that tell you if you are prego you can't ride, so just look for those signs. PS: It was still blast! I was 6 and 7 months pregnant when I went. Hope this helps! I would recommend lots of water, and resting too! But if you are going to catch all the shows, that will be good rest! Just make sure she is plenty hydrated! The Grand Carousel is another.
BavarianBeatle
As someone who has been in your position twice, I can tell you your situation is not as dire as it seems. You will discover that a pregnancy is a 50/50 type of situation. What that means is that all of the good things about the pregnancy are because of the woman, and all of the not-so-good things (morning sickness, sore back, swollen feet and fingers, et al.) are the man's fault. (Get used to that idea because you will be reminded of that repeatedly). The up side of that is that there will also be those times when she will not want to have anything to do with you because of what you "did to" her. Which will give you the perfect opportunity to get to the park for a few hours and ride whatever you want. In the meantime, she will be enjoying herself with her female friends discussing her situation and the evil men of the world who cause women to feel miserable while they're pregnant. Just make sure you call her when you are about to leave for home and ask her if there is anything you can bring her. It will surely be some strange combination of foods, but just pretend that you don't find it to be unusual at all and bring her whatever she wants. After that, everything should be fine. But seriously, the Rider Safety Guide on the park's website and in the Park Guide may also provide you and your wife with helpful information. Best of luck to you both...... KIBeast
Thanks to all who responded. It will be of great help, providing we even go. She told me last night that now, she doesn't want to go because of not being able to ride the coasters. We'll see what happens. I'm not going to push it. Although I really hate to throw away $300.00. Bavarian Beetle, good advice. My boss took me aside and said, I'd like to explain to you, guy to guy, about what to expect in the next nine months. He said the first three months, she'll be sick all the time. The second three, she will be glowing and probably not sick any more. Finally, the last three, you won't be able to do or say anything right.
noraleesmom
Aw, She should go!! I was in her situation when I was about 6 months along and being a total coaster freak I thought it would be horrible, but I seriously Had a blast!!! Lots of good points! Fresh air, Great excersize!!! , Riding on the train and enjoying the view.. and when the heat gets to be a little much, the air in SDATHC is amazing!!! LOL!! Plus all of the great shows KI has lined up - she is sure to have an amazing day. I know in the beginning its a little hard to cut out the things you love to do, but here in a few months, she'll be wanting to get out and enjoy herself! And Congrats to both of you! You may love roller coasters, but Parenthood is one amazing ride itself!! God Bless!

I have been to KI once, a while back, and did not ride one single coaster. It was back when I was about 22-24 yrs. old. I had back surgery and was told that I could not ride coasters for at least five years, if ever. I went anyway with my girlfriend at the time. I wound up having a blast anyway! At one point in the day, I couldn't help but look up at the skyline at the coasters and it kinda made me sad for a brief moment. However, just being there to share a special day and ride what we could made all the difference.

Being in an amusement park and not being able to ride anything can be really frustrating! When I was pregnant, we went about every other weekend!! Another thing I think she will love is going to the water park!! Crocodile Run is one of the most relaxing things I experienced while pregnant! It was really Great! Another cool thing is I took lots of pics when we went and made sure to include the belly... and my daughter, who is now 3 and loves Kings Island, thinks its the most awesome thing to see pics of her in my belly at Kings Island.. She even swears she remembers seeing spongebob one day But I really hope she does give it a try. Some days my Husband would take a friend along so he could ride the rides he loves, and I took a friend to take in some shows with! Cant go wrong with a precious baby trying to dance its way out of your tummy!
BavarianBeatle
Well, as for roller coasters and KI, I took a few years off from coasters when mine were babies and missed them (coasters, not the babies), of course,.... But the last two years (they are tall enough now for the 48 inch rides), riding with them and rediscovering the feelings that I had as a child, as they discovered those feelings for the first time, have been wonderful......... You will experience that too, I hope, and its even better than what WE did as children.........
touchdown62
This may be pushing it a bit, but what about White Water Canyon if you want to cool down and don't mind getting a little wet. Congo Falls is definitely a no-no. Just throwing it out there. Never have to worry about the pregnancy thing personally. I can still ride all the coasters even if the wife is pregnant. Maybe that's why I'm still single.

It was actually fun, but wouldnt be for a pregnant woman. But, Standing on the platform by Congo Falls is a great way to cool off when It gets hot in the park! KIBeast
One of my new favorite things to do at WWC is blow about $20.00 in quarters at the observation point. I just love soaking the riders as they come by.

noraleesmom
Voice of experience on the phone thang? Almost.... My kids reminded me at the last second. We rode Congo falls yesterday and I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket I didnt realize it until we were at the top turning to the hill. I had to air dry it out when we got off the ride, but luckily It didnt get too wet.
