Keysersoze Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Hey all, Maybe this has all ready come up but I notice that the camera's are gone on Flight of Fear. What, the on ride video only lasted one season? I wanted to get one this year just for the weird factor! Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 They probaly didn't sell enough videos to keep the cameras on there. Quote
fan of beast Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 cp has the same type of cameras on raptor this year. i didn't remember them from last year. Quote

Ya Raptor had there's last year, I have one of the DVD's. The DVD itself sucked, only quick shots of you, with a bunch of other crap, even coasters from other parks thrown in. It's what keep me from buying one off of FOF last year. I heard folks complained about the video's and by the end of last season the videos were just of the people on that ride. Quote
coaster_junky Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 They probaly didn't sell enough videos to keep the cameras on there. they only had them on for the last 3 or 4 months of park operation, i don't think they kept them on long enough for people to know about them. Quote
KIBeast Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I watched a little of myself on Raptor last year. It sounds like a cool idea, but it really wasn't all that great. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I saw the Raptor ones never bought one though. What is the cost of the DVD and holw long do you have to wait around while it is being made. That could be hurting a selling point. They be cool if they had package at the front gate for like $30 or something to get all the on ride pictures of the rides you rode that day. You could get a card with all the rides that offer an on-ride photo and the ops would punch out each ride as you got your picture. Quote

LongliveKingsCobra Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 You didn't have to buy the videos, just wait there to see your video, and besides 32847019382740189237401983$ for it doest seem worth it..... Quote
nhimes90 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 yeah they did only have the cameras for like 2 months, but in the entire time it was down almost 40% of the time and when it worked no one bought them. We were lucky if we sold one a day, so it was basically a money pit. Quote
KIFAN! Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 YAAYYY!!! I Hated Those Things! Did They put the pics on again? cuzz... 1:the pics being took made it look like lightning which was awesome 2: They had aliens sitting behind you which is way better than a dumb video Quote
flightoffear4thtrain Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 what happened to the preshow? it's so dull without it! Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 It had certain features that were the property of licensees to Paramount Parks.... Quote
flightoffear4thtrain Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 It had certain features that were the property of licensees to Paramount Parks.... I thought that they would at least make a new one. Do you think there will be one as the season progresses in to peak season? Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I think it works better at some parks more than others cause they attract more tourist and they are more likely to buy a souviner than a pass holder. Quote
coaster_junky Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 It had certain features that were the property of licensees to Paramount Parks.... then why was it played last season? Quote
