Jeffrey99
Made a trip to KI on Saturday. Didn't ride that many coasters, spent alot of time in the Kiddy section. But what really ticked me off the most was the wait for BLSC. I myself hate the ride but my sister loves it. I think it's way too short and way to long of a wait, since they can only run 12 people per train. The wait on Saturday was terrible. That was the first thing we went too. Not sure of exact time of wait but it had to be 45+ min. I was just wondering if there was any reason behind why they were only running 1 train? To be honest, that wait and the rain pretty much put me in a bad mood for the day. Only thing I would have liked to have done was ride The Vortex. Haven't ridden that in a long time but the wait was just too long. Something I noticed while waiting for the BLSC was some kind of Gold pass fast pass sign. What exactly is that? Guessing you have to have a season pass for it? Does it work with all rides or just BLSC?
MarketingExpress
Sorry about your bad day that you had. If they were only running one train, I am sure that they had a good excuse for taking the others off especially on a Saturday. I can tell you running that ride with one train is no fun for the crew working it, they would rather have all 3 trains on the track then just one. The Gold Pass line is for the speed passes. A limited number of speed passes are given out to Gold pass members (season passes). The speed passes give them a designated time that they can come back and get in line to ride that particular ride. It is similar to Disney's Fastpass system, minus the fancy machines that spit out a ticket.

That certainly don't seem like a bad day to me. Seems pretty lucky.
flightoffear1996
Saturday = Long waits.
Jeffrey99
I wouldn't have minded the wait if the line was long. But it was raining and still pretty early in the day. I myself didn't think the line was that long. There was only one row open and that was about 3/4 full. If you understand what I'm saying . The wait wasn't bad for a ride, it just ticked me off that they only had 1 train going. I'm sure that just made the wait seem even longer. The Interpreter
The one train is a precaution when it is raining...the alternative is to run NO trains, which they have done in the past....It's a Cedar Fair, and safety, thing....started after the Magnum incident of last year... Also, and this is directly from a Supervisor on BLSC, when it's been raining they only run one train to try to lower the amount of stress put on the track. RWildman424
^How would that make a difference. I can see how only one train running would reduce the wear and tear on the track, but what does that have to do with whether or not its been raining? Kawana
Apparently it does. I didn't really understand it but that's the answer he gave so I'm sure there's a reason.
Cormaster
NEVER go to KI on Saturday, or any theme park. It always sucks.
