Ok.. what is the tank next to Delirum; kind of looks like a water tower. Why is it there? What's the theming context ?

The tank was put in when Action Zone made it's debut. I believe the tower was used in a daily stunt show that they did.

You are correct. It was put in there as a tie-in to Paramount Studios and there was a stunt show done on and around it the first year of Action Zone. That didn't last too long...

It was pretty good show but loud gunshots and I bet tons of angry parents got mad.

It reminds me of the Animaniacs, although that was Warner Bros.

The stunt show included men running around with tommy guns and entering the grill beside it....and ended rather abruptly after a school shooting at Columbine....

The water tower remains, now with the Cedar Fair Kings Island logo on it on the front and back.

Thanks for the info. Seems like there are a lot of little items from the past strewn all over the park from days gone by; little bits and pieces of theming that really has no context for current rides or areas.

Up until this season, the floral calendar had the original Kings Island logo on it. Unfortunately, the original logo did not return for this season.

Additionally, part of the old ivy covered walk way had remained to shade tables behind the Ice Cream stand in Nickelodeon Universe. That to was removed prior to the start of the season this year.

Furthermore, there is an old Sky Ride footing located near Outer Hanks` Back Porch Bar that is partially covered by an old row boat.

And of course, you can still catch some of the subtle architectural elements on the buildings that hint to the country with which they were originally associated.

Have they put up the bell made of plantlife? When I was there last, there was just the wooden thing for hanging it (between GC and ET).

Nope I went a couple days ago,still just a wood thing.Also the eggs are still their!!And why didnt they just get rid of the sky ride footing when they took the ride out?

Why not? The better question is why bother? It's very expensive to remove footings. Many from The Bat are still there, too. Or look at all the ones under Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood from the two prior coasters there....
