clbehymer
So I'm making another work trip this year, and this time I am going to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area from July 13 - 18. I plan on taking advantage of my Platinum Pass and going to ValleyFair for the first time. For those that have been there... Can you accomplish everything in one day? What are the definite rides to hit? Any other suggestions?
The Interpreter
Be sure to hit up Mall of America! It's not that far from the park, and is not to be missed. At Valleyfair itself, unless it is very busy, you can easily do the entire park in one day. It's about 1/3 the size of Kings Island! For the coasters: http://www.rcdb.com/pd24.htm Don't let Excalibur fool you...it's actually a fun little ride, though a bit violent! I recommend the front seat. Coasterkidman
I hear it's usually not very crowded, so thats good.
clbehymer
Thanks. I am going to the Mall of America. It sounds like it will take longer to go there than to ValleyFair.
The Interpreter
If you also enjoy shopping, it will.....
dare-to-fly
I'm also planning to go later this summer. Are the reviews for Renegade any better this season? Also, how does High Roller rank in terms of the good ole classic coasters? And equally important, is it trimmed?
The Interpreter
Is High Roller trimmed? Is it a wood coaster in a legacy Cedar Fair park? Should you miss it? No. Is it a classic wooden coaster? Well, it's still wood.

Well, it's still wood. I never miss wooden coasters. It sounds like a fun coaster from what I read, though if you are saying it's trimmed (and it sounds that way to me) it probably won't make my top ten. Either way, still worth a shot. ...Maybe I'm being too judgemental. After all, The Racer is unfortunately trimmed now, and it still is almost in my top ten. I'll just keep an open mind. Thanks for the heads up, Terpy!
Coasterkidman
Renagade is a GCI twister, and after my experience on the Kentucky Rumbler I'd have High expectations for it. . .
