Or, more likely, the suit is for at least $50,000, which is probably the jurisdictional amount that is required to sue in that court. In most courts, you are no longer allowed to ask for a specific amount for emotional losses or other non-economic losses.

Can someone give me a link to the story when it happen? This is the first time I heard of the accident.

Chicago,IL - A Wisconsin man fell to his death while dismantling a water ride at Six Flags Great America Tuesday, officials said. Thomas Lee, 46, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, was working on the Splash Water Falls ride Tuesday morning when he plunged about 50 feet to his death, hitting part of the ride on the way down, Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller said. Lee was taken in critical condition to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville just after 9 a.m., Gurnee Fire Battalion Chief Bob Heraver said. Lee died around 9:40 a.m. of head and chest injuries suffered from the fall, Keller said.
