I see him as a president protecting his company's best intrests.

Yeah I don't think he's really playing hardball. I think the people out there saw Great America being sold, and just assumed that the new owner would sell it off quick since CF already had property in California.

One must remember California's Great America, operated by Cedar Fair, sits on property leased by a lessor who also wants a football stadium. There is more than enough protecting to be done of interests by all parties involved. This is a potential deal where there are no Saints (don't they play somewhere else?)

Well if the owners of the land want a football stadium, that is up to them.

They just have to come up with a good enough deal that will break the lease to make Mr. Kinzel happy.

I'm sure the Astroworld incident is still fresh in the minds of the powers that be at CF.

Beacuse at this point, that appears the direction this is going.

If your guests have nowhere to park due to a football game, business will be lost. Not only on the day of the game, but in the future.
