Hoeter
It's been awhile since I've posted any trip reports due to work and other events going on, so here goes.... Sunday June 29: We arrived to Kings Island around 3:00pm, just in time for the Soap Opera Q&A. We would have been there earlier hadn't it been for a three car wreck on I-71 south of Kings Island Dr. I came with my Mom, Stepdad, and Sister and the women in our group love the Young and the Restless so the Soap Opera Q&A were high on their list for the day. While the women were at the Q&A, me and my Stepdad went up 275ft to check out the construction of the B&M hyper. After the Q&A ended, we started in Rivertown and The Beast was the first ride of the day. My Mom and Stepdad hasn't been on The Beast in a good 15-20 years. We waited about 25 minutes to get on and they said it was rougher than they ever remember. Next up was The Racer. Me and my Sister got on the Red Racer, and my Mom and Stepdad got on the Blue Racer. They beat us, just because we were on the brakes while another train was being loaded up right in front of us. After The Racer, we went to Flight Deck. Mom has never been on this ride, and by the time we got off, she vowed never again to ride it. "That ride was The Bat. They kept the track and trains in storage until they built it here, I don't care what you say!" were her exact words. After this, it was about 8:00pm and I was quite tired, so we left for the day. Sunday July 13: I had a meeting at work earlier in the morning, so on my way home from work, I decided to drive by CSF in Batavia and saw red track and a maroon colored track laying outside. I had my camera with me and would have taken pictures if there weren't workers outside. After getting home and getting family pictures taken around noon, the clan decided to go to Kings Island for a couple of hours. We arrived around 4:00pm and started off in Nickelodeon Universe. My Sister wanted to do Runaway Reptar and she wanted me to tag along, which I did. Wait was about 10 minutes and the ride was boring in my opinion. Next up was the Wild Thornberries Log Flume, and was a walk on. After this, my Sister met up with one of her friends and went for two rounds on White Water Canyon. I went for one round and the next round had me at the cannons. Payback was on the horizon and they got theirs. After this was the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad. I was amazed at the progress being made in the ravine back there. After this was The Beast, it was almost dark at this point and wait time was 15 minutes but the line was quickly growing once we were in line. This time was the roughest I have ever noticed it. After this, we were going to ride The Vortex but was broken down. The attendant at the entrance was talking about Vortex being the tallest steel coaster in the world, which I know is not true. He also said something about the new coaster having a 275ft. first drop, and how Firehawk is going to be gone in two years because it's the only ride in the park that has the most money spent on it maintenance-wise. I was going to ask him if he knew when the park would make an official announcement about the new coaster but I forgot to. After this, we went to the Red Racer and was a 5 minute wait. Blue Racer wasn't running tonight. After this, my Sister and her friend did Delirium and Firehawk but I sat this one out because I was tired. We left right before the fireworks began. More TR's to come as I get the chance to venture out to Kings Island...
kjkjkj
Sounds like you had a pretty god time! Although the ride op for Vortex sounds pretty stupid...I wouldn't believe anything he said after saying "Vortex is the tallest steel coaster in the world." lol
