RailRider
This is one of the many reassons that the Pavillion no longer exists and that Myrtle Beach is trying to clean up down town. More and more people stay in North Myrtle than downtown and this is just one of the many reassons. Such a shame.
Rollercoast19
I always considered that area (Family Kingdom area) of Myrtle Beach a little bit more dangerous than downtown. I usually feel pretty safe downtown. I will be down there the week of Aug 3-10.
Guest kwindshawne
Hmm. Was this during park hours or after? Nasty world we live in...perhaps metal detectors might have prevented this??
The Interpreter
This happened last Friday night around 10:30 p.m, according to the report. Family Kingdom has a soft close, closing somewhere between 10 p.m. and midnight on July Fridays, depending on the crowds. If I were guessing, I would bet the park had just closed and the gentleman, who was from Myrtle Beach, could possibly even be a park employee...but was probably a guest just leaving the park. And they got $5. For that these yeggs risked a long jail sentence.
Guest kwindshawne
He's lucky he's ok. I've never been there so it's hard for me to imagine the surroundings-sounds like its pretty open though. Would be hard to secure with free admission and no detectors.
