When to meet at Thai restaurant for PKI videos?

Featured Replies

A number of folks have expressed interest in meeting at Siam Orchid Thai restaurant in Alexandria, KY to share a meal and watch PKI-related videos after the park closes. Please vote in the poll and tell me whether or not the dates I proposed will work well with you. Once I have an idea of how many people could make it and when...I can start planning the event.

Have a great day!

Hmm...wouldn't it be cool if we could have a meeting on New Year's Eve? This is just hypothetical as I'm sure people would rather spend the time with friends and family. A good date to meet for me would be either Dec. 31/Jan. 1, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th (school holiday break).

I voted for the 8th I just forgot to post, I have one question for you Chef, I thought this was going to be a PKIC meeting day, not a PKIC PKIU meeting day. I have no problems with PKIU peeps but you should of stated that when you posted this topic.

I mentioned it on both sites several weeks ago. It's not a PKIC-PKIU event but a PKI fan event open to the PKI public. Anyone who wants to eat Thai & Chinese food while watching PKI videos is welcome. As you may know, I walk a fine line between both sites and don't want to offend or alienate anyone.

Since Monday, 1/19, is a national holiday many people should be off from work or school. I think that probably Sunday 1/18 will be best - either lunch (which is cheaper and in the daytime) or dinner.

But hey.......I need more people to respond!

Have a great day,

Ok, guys, you're going to hate me for this idea, but here it goes: I think we should get those stupid "Hello, my name is.." name badges for the off-season meeting.

I mean, I know it sound stupid, but we could put our first names as well as our user names on them. The reason why I'm thinking this is because I know a lot of you were at the TR:TR filmings but I never had the opportunity to meet you because I didn't know who you were. That's really a shame. I mean, the only people that I can remember from it are Italian Chef, DanielRadsgrl, and Dragonlord. I know there was a pretty decent handful of you guys there. If we know eachother personally, maybe it can help continue this wonder peace that we've had on this web site.

Just let me know what you think,

Ryan

I appreciate that! I'm waiting to hear from people as to which day and time to hold the event. I'll post the prices soon. I have 5 PKI-related videos and hope that other people have some that they can bring to the event too.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am going to go ahead and close this topic since the date of 1.18.04 has been chosen, thus eliminating the need for a poll.
