tubaman Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Perhaps the supports are also part of a building that trains will be housed in? http://rcdb.com/ig3290.htm?picture=32 Quote
Kawana Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Anyone remember how high Nitro's station is? http://www.rcdb.com/ig1106.htm?picture=2 Doggone that is one tall station. I got the "tremors" just from looking at it. Quote
Thane Of Price Hill Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 ^That looks more like transfer storage track than lift hill track. Those are guide wheels to move the train from one spot to another. I think you're right. I'll edit the caption and my post. Thanks. I should probably stop trying to speculate. Quote
hauntguy Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 If I remember correctly, the station for this ride is WAY off thr ground! So these very well could be the station supports. -Hauntguy Quote
BigWhitey Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Looks pretty familiar if you ask me. http://behemoth.canadaswonderland.com/publ...age&chip=43 Pretty interesting, after reading the construction diary of Behometh, it looks like our's will be constructed very closely to how Behometh was. Here's a link if you would like to compare the timeline of both. http://behemoth.canadaswonderland.com/publ...1&maxRow=12 Quote
masonguy21 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 There wasn't any activity that I saw today at the previous swan lake site. I guess they will be doing most of the vertical construction on weekdays. Quote

It' will then veer left curving 180 degrees into the station. http://www.cwmania.com/photos/displayimage...=128&pos=37 http://www.cwmania.com/photos/displayimage...=128&pos=76 Shaggy Quote

I was looking at the animation, and it shows some guide/power tires just out of the station leading to the lift. Oh well it's still going to be fun to watch them put this one up. Quote
Thane Of Price Hill Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Took some more photos last evening: The full gallery is here: http://picasaweb.google.com/kwelch/20080812 Quote
iChase Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Nice pictures. I wonder what the wheels are for. Transfer track perhaps? Quote
tigellinus Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 ^^Yeah, definitely transfer track for the trains' storage shed...sort of like for Nitro. Great pics, btw!!! They've really kicked it into gear the past two days!! It seemed from the pics I saw last Wednesday to this past weekend when I was at KI not a lot had been done, but since Sunday there's a TON of more progress!! Quote
iChase Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I'm noticing that too. They're leaping and bounding out there! Quote
KIBeast Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Great pics Thane! Personally, I can't wait until they get around to track placement, thought that is still far away. Quote
Thane Of Price Hill Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Thanks for all the kind words. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the pictures. Quote
