Jasper
Well i cannot complain much for a Friday the park was rather thin and there wasnt many people there. Multiple rides on almost everything including a 5 ride marathon on my baby Drop Tower. It seemed like the crowds kind of thinned out around 5'ish and there was hardly anyone left in Action Zone so it provided for walk ons to most rides. I might have saw some of you all from this site you couldnt miss me i was in an all red Boston Red Sox shirt and a boston hat. While on Drop Tower we dropped as usual and when we stopped at the bottom, BOOM! A big oil splatter right on my brand new khaki shorts. It was like liquidy oil either it was the smudgy type that will not come out. That was just rotten luck that it happened to fall in my seat. I also saw two people puke today, one on The Racer right in front of me in the brake tunnel and one right in front of the midway games in Coney Mall. And also while i was on Firehawk while going up the first lift i saw many pieces of track and a crane in front of the building and what looked like to be two regular pieces of track and some more pieces that looked like some type of either station, transfer, or brake run track. Sorry no pictures though.
Gordon Bombay
Did you ride The Beast today? I happened to ride and got stuck in the station when they went down for fireworks, but when they came back up they had the whole station going really loudly with this whole "yee haw" western theme they were doing, it was a blast, kept me entertained and got me pumped to ride. BavarianBeatle
And for that oil stain on your shorts, use OxyClean and a toothbrush........ It will come right out!
Ki Man
I was in NickU from 4-close. Crowds were thin! But around 7 when the BB closed....I got swamped back at Alley Oop by Avatar.
Jasper
Well Gordan i did ride The Beast but i rode it first thing in the morning and when we came back to ride it that night the people i were with wanted to leave so we had to go but i would have almost been in the same situation you would have being stuck in the station. Currently i am in Clinton New Jersey en route to New York City for my annual vacation. Today we drove by Dorney Park and i got woken up just to look at it. The park looked deserted completely like no one was even there. I did see Steel Force running though.
The Interpreter
Someone needs to think about riding the Coney Island Cyclone and visiting Great Adven-cha, as the locals invariably call it!
Jasper
I do beleive we are going to Coney Island and yes i am definately going to ride the famous Cyclone. I am still working on getting them to stop by Jackson on the way home to go to Great Adventure. If i didnt get to go i would at least like to drive by it and snap a few pics. deb
I was also there, and got aerials (from Eiffel Tower) of the track by Firehawk. I'll have them all up soon in a photobucket album! deb
