Beast1979
Hi There! I went to the Island today just one last time before school tomorrow and since time was short I only stayed for a few hours, but that's all I needed! (Please Wait till I say "Thanks For Reading" To Post replies, It only allows a certain a amount of Pics per post so I have to post multiple Times. Thanks!) Back at the Island after only 4 days! What's that, a crane? I love this view. (Sort of a "Welcome Home" Sorta View for me) No Matter how many times I ride this I always freak out. But I LOVE It! After a walk-on Blast on Invertigo, I rode this guy! Even this had a 5 minute wait, but I think it's only worth a 2 or less. What's the difference between a Huss Frisbe and Awesomeness? Delerium! Since it was 2:00 in the Afternoon this cost $15, so I didn't ride. So far I had ridden Invertigo, Drop Tower, and Flight Deck. High Time to ride a slower ride? It's an Awesome Ride with short waits. Sweet!
Beast1979
Even though it usually has short lines, today it was a walk-on because the park was empty today! The SoB is even visible from Racer! Anyone who has seen this view before i give them virtual kudos! The Red Racer is awesome! Blue not so much. I can get all ten clicks with room to spare! To anyone who thinks KI doesn't have a real Airtime Machine, ride The Racer for wood's sake! I would prefer they put in a bathroom here, or a little ticker at the entrence saying "Flight of Fear: __Minutes" "Firehawk:___Minutes" so I don't have to waste my time. Look out Vortex and SoB, there's a new contender in photogenicy! "Send in the Cranes! There ought to be Cranes!" -Interpreter. It's the swingy ride, ehh, Oh yea. I haven't seen this sign in ages since it's hidden in the trees. Kings Island and it's photogenicy. For now he only rides Racer and Flight Deck, but soon my 10 year old brother will finally wise up and ride The Beast. Summer is taking it's toll. Beast1979
Arrow! Yea! Here's something you don't see on your average looper. Is it a footing? Or am I just going Batty? The lines are short today. Yea yeh! Diamondback is taking place! 3 days and 3 pieces. 1 per day is fine for me. I'll come home frome school and check to see what piece was installed today. I only had time for one Beast run, but that's all I needed. The Beast rocks! Sit in the Second row of the Fourth Car and you'll be fine. I also saw Ronny here! They were installing the Catwalks now. Different Name, same story. When I saw the "This ride is Temporarly Closed" Sign I cracked up!
skaterboy22101
i agree wit the little tickers. i just hate walking back there and it turns out both rides have more than a 2 hour wait
Beast1979
The webcam just doesn't do it's justice, but it helps. I love the Eiffel Tower, it's such a great centerpiece. Huge Crane. Why'd they mve the left one? Headed to the tower I saw this. I'm not into the Haunt scene, but I guess there are a lot of people who are. It looks so much steeper than in the animation. Airtime! I guess now they are installing track they don't need to store it, there's a lot less track over here. It's the hawk. (I'm running out of Captions) The Behind the Scenes tour of the SoB was so awesome, I only wish the GP could have seen it. Judging by the position and activity of the crane back there I'd say they're getting ready to move the Supports. Uhhh, Delerium. No snappy caption here. Guest TombraiderTy
^^You read the first part of his PTR about no commenting till all photos, didn't you? Heck, if I'm gonna post may as well add my two-cents on the PTR. First off, my school doesn't start till September With that out of the way, good so far and I'll post other thoughts once I'm actually supposed to post. Beast1979
Who here knows the main entry was modeled after the plaza in Paris? I miss Hanna Barbera Soo Much. I loved it when every other ride was themed to my favorite cartoon, Scooby! Michael Jackson and others rocked the Showplace in Flashback Totally 80's! The footings grow by the day over there. For all those people who love the webcam, this view seem familiar? Just wait... Another Great day at the Island concludes. "Artistic Shot" Ride Count: Invertigo - 1 Drop Tower - 1 Flight Deck - 1 Adventure Express - 1 Red Racer - 1 Vortex - 1 Beast - 1 Eiffel Tower - 1 Thanks for Reading! tigellinus
Awesome little PTR from today!! I agree that the webcam doesn't come CLOSE to giving you a true perspective of all that track!! But I guess it's the best view I got at the moment from Indianapolis! But anyway, I had a couple questions I wanted to ask ya...first, why didn't you ride Delirium? 2nd, what was the Firehawk wait? (and props to KI for running two trains on this late season weekday!!) Finally, does your little bro only ride Racer and FD b/c he's scared of anything else OR not tall enough?? Sounds like a great day to go!! Here I was sitting in my office all day!!! (though granted making a pretty good salary to do so! )

He is well over the hight restriction he just doesn't want to Ride them. 4: Isn't that why they have the webcam, so people like you crammed in offices can watch it? fanofki
First off, I have to go back to school tomorrow, too! (That's not a happy exclamation point) Second, I used to be just like your brother (except I was 12). And third, I completely agree with your idea of bathrooms and signs saying how long the wait is. I have walked back there so many times and just had to walk back after seeing the line.
JAHill
Something like this?
fanofki
^Yes. That would be perfect. It seems that about half of the time that I walk back there I don't go on either ride because the lines are too long or I can't tell how long the FOF line is and I see the outside line filling up so I decide not to ride it. Kawana
Something like this? It seems to me that it wouldn't take very much to do something like that in that area of the park, if not for the entire park in general. You could probably control the signs straight from the operator booth if need be. That would be very nifty. That's one of the things I loved about CP, the signs out front. No need to waste your time if you didn't want to.

Disney, I believe, uses RFID to track it's wait times. While my family and I were in line for Soarin' at EPCOT, we were handed a lanyard with a plastic card attached which we were told to hand to the cast member at the end of the line. Kawana
seems to me that the signs at cp always say 15 minutes, even when the line is way past the sign. True but I did see an hour wait for Corkscrew, so I passed that up. Maybe the signs for the lesser visited attractions, but MF, Maverick, TTD etc were pretty spot on, if not lower than the posted time.
