jonnyvelvet
My brother and I just got in the from the park today, 8-20-08. I'm 27 and live in Huntington, WV and have been coming to Kings Island since I was a young child... well since early 80's!! I have had many wonderful experiences over the years but today may have topped them all! I would recommend the week ending August 23rd to anyone wanting short lines and a great time! They park was not at all crowded, and we basically walked on every ride. The weather was a bit warm, however, not having to wait in any lines helped to make for a wonderful day. We stopped to see some of the Diamondback track being put into place. I don't think I have ever been this excited for a coaster in my life! It's about time we see a classic B& M at Kings Island. The construction is coming along nicely. Again, I don't think I have ever ridden as much in one day, as I did today. Here is a list of what we rode: 10:00 - 2:30 Drop Tower - Twice Son of Beast- Twice Invertego Adventure Express - Twice Racer Firehawk Flight of Fear Vortex The Beast - Three Times Wild Thornberry's ( our longest wait of the day 10 minutes ) Avatar Fairly Odd Coaster Scooby's Haunted Castle - A nice lunch at the Panda Express. 2:30 - 3:00 - After lunch - 3:00. - 8:00 Viking Fury - Twice Delerium - Twice Son of Beast Flight Deck - Twice Adventure Express - Twice Racer - Twice Flight of Fear Backlot Stunt Coaster The Crypt White Water Canyon - Five time…..=) The Beast - Twice Quite a lot rides for a short day at the park! Thank you Kings Island for a memorable day! I look forward to many more wonderful visits in the coming years! Diamondback '08!!!!
Kawana
Sweet. My girlfriend and I are going this Sunday, so maybe we'll be able to crush rides like that too.
bux_k_a
This week in Aug. every year especially from Wed. on is the best time to go. Many schools begin and the park is just empty. I went yesterday as well but did not get there until 4 pm but still rode: The Beast BLSC Vortex FOF Firehawk - got in line at 7:58 - park closed at 8 - very nice Racer - twice Delerium Drop Tower Invertigo Flight Deck - twice - just had to move back a few rows SOB The Crypt was closed when we walked towards The Beast and did not go back. Not bad for a 4 hour visit. Back in 2004 I rode almost everything in 2 hours after volunteering there from 9-2.

IBEW_Sparky
Yep, I was there also from 10:30am until about 6:00pm and I must concur that yesterday was GREAT as far as not having crowds to deal with. From 10:38am until 12:10pm I rode FOF, Firehawk, Vortex, and Beast all one time before getting some lunch.... and this time frame also included walking up to a closed BLSC to inquire about an opening time, a 12 MINUTE LOAD/UNLOAD TIME on Firehawk, a leisurely stroll around the Rivertown side on my way to Guest Relations, and a walk back to Chick-Filet. From that point on, until 6pm when I left, I rode Flight Deck once, Racer 3 more times, FOF 3 more times, BLSC twice, Vortex 3 more times, Scrambler once, and Beast 3 more times. Kawana, as far as Sunday goes.... good luck Brother on decent wait times on a Sunday.
