Rollercoast19
I was wondering if anyone knew the playlist for the Kings Island Railroad this season? I think the songs they picked this year were great, except for the "Cotton Eye Joe" song.

I think the songs they picked this year were great, except for the "Cotton Eye Joe" song. Are you kidding? My kids have had a ball urging each other to dance when "Cotton Eye Joe" has come on.... and then, of course, fighting... and then laughing about it later...... All to my chagrin..... Rollercoast19
I have just heard the song way too many times at Dayton Bombers games. Though watching people dance to it makes it a tad bit bearable. I figured out that the last song they play is Dwight Yoakam's cover of Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me." Kawana
The song from Boomerang Bay to the Rivertown area is "Down Under" by Men at Work.
Rollercoast19
Thanks Kawana! I enjoy listening to that song when arriving or leaving the Boomerang Bay station. It is very appropriate. So far we have: "Cotton Eye Joe" "Down Under" "I Want You to Want Me" Does anyone know the song between "Down Under" and "I Want You to Want Me?" I figured out that the last song they play is Dwight Yoakam's cover of Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me." THANK YOU!! I have been trying to figure that out all season! I actually asked an employee at the train who sang that song and she told me John Denver. I don't think so! lol So I downloaded the song and started blasting it. My wife runs in and asks what the heck I am listening to. I told her to give it a moment and see if she can figure it out. She gives up. So i ask her if it sounds like were riding the train at Kings Island. She turns around in disgust! On another Kings Island music note.... They actually PLAYED a Led Zeppelin song on IS the last time I visited (KICentral Day) and I about fell over! And I just HAD to tell everyone around me who was playing, even if they could care less. Rollercoast19
How can you possibly forget about Ghost Riders in The Sky?? (As covered by "The Outlaws") That is the one I had no clue who it was. Thanks! Who originally wrote the song? Updated List: "Cotton Eye Joe" "Down Under" "Ghost Riders in the Sky" "I Want You to Want Me" Are we missing any?
Cory Butcher
Stan Jones originally wrote the song in 1948. Vaughn Monroe made it popular in 1949 with the first chart topping for the song. His version is the most well known, and best-selling. Johnny Cash recorded a version in 1979.
Kawana
You mean they couldn't care less...if could care less, then they would care some, which I doubt they do... Terpy, who just HAD to Terpy, you always confuse me when you say that. If I didn't care so much, I might not care at all.
The Interpreter
I wish when it came to that phrase that I couldn't care less....Don't even get me started about irregardless (which fortunately is almost never seen here) or rediculous. Some things I just don't understand. . .
