Mr. Christopher
I've never understood how someone gets stuck in a gate. Ya know, if ya see them closing, ya get the hell out? What is so hard about that concept? Simple concept, but that can still be hard for some people to follow. Especially how simple directions given repeatedly can go so un-noticed... screamingnight
It only takes half a brain to follow safety rules on thrill rides.
The Interpreter
I've never understood how someone gets stuck in a gate. Ya know, if ya see them closing, ya get the hell out? What is so hard about that concept? a. The "if" part of "if you see them closing." b. WE pay a lot more attention to park operations than typical patrons, who pay operations either little or no mind. They are there to have fun, and often have 1000 other things on their minds, or nothing at all...many of them don't even realize there ARE gates, or that they open and close...and couldn't tell you that even after being in the park all day. I'm always amazed that if you ask most members of the public how many cars are on a particular coaster train, the answer is almost always one.... WooferBearATL
Gates have been automated since long before I worked at the park. When I was a mere tot with a season pass, I still never got caught in a gate.

TheKlockster
Hey - even I have been stuck in a gate. I was like - empty seat - OMG! My crew saw me going for it - and closed the gates - and I didn't make it. It just about cut me in 2!
