FOFreak
When you go on sitdown coaster, what do you hold on to? I for one hold onto the lapbar, because its alot more comfortable for my little arms! Don't answer by saying that you don't hold on at all. Seriously
DropZone99
I hold nothing.

FOFreak
^^Beaver, seriously! ^This will be interesting, because you must hold on to the lapbar!
The Interpreter
Not necessarily....but most do. In any event, Diamondback's lapbar will hold on to you.

Touchdown
If its a rough woodie I will hold onto the metal bar in front of me as a way of keeping my back off of the backrest (thus avoiding any back pain) but otherwise I dont really hold on. If its an airtime machine (hyper, out and back woodie, etc) or a flyer my hands are up, if its a looper, Ill just place my hands on my legs. fan of beast
the only KI ride that i hold onto something is Vortex. that is for support to keep my head from getting slammed side to side in the restraints.
italianchef
If I can't put my arms up, I hold on to the lapbar more times than not.
The Interpreter
I know several people who didn't hold on and instead rode with arms raised high in the air on Raven at Holiday World...who got off said ride with very sore ribs...which only got worse...and when they went to the doctor each found they then had broken ribs! Phantom Theater
I hold onto the Lap Bar becuase it feels better than holding your hands forward.
FOFreak
OK people, the question here is not "Do you hold on to something?". The question is "When you first put your hands on the lapbar or handle, which one feels more natural?" PS: Thats not the Ravens fault! The Interpreter
OK people, the question here is not "Do you hold on to something?". The question is "When you first put your hands on the lapbar or handle, which one feels more natural?" Uh, that is NOT what the poll asked...nor was it the question you answered first.... FOFreak
For one, I hold the lapbar because it feels more natural! I was simply specifying what this topic was about. If I wanted to know how many put thier hands up, I would of put it into the poll!
The Interpreter
Well, as some have pointed out, when you ask a question about what do you hold on to...nothing should be an option...as many DO hold on to no thing.
FOFreak
If no thing is to hold, how do you hold it?

hamoperator
I hold onto my kids; as a dad I don't want anything happening to them. But now the kids that's another story, they have to put their hands and arms up in the air and laugh! God forbid when they reach 48 inches and higher and want to do the really big rides, Peanut already is planing on riding Diamond Back
FOFreak
Yeah, I have to do that to FOFreak Jr. on Racer. But thats not the real question. If you were to for some reason hold on, would you grab the lapbar or the handle?
fan of beast
never, ever hold onto anything!!!!! learning to let go will bring great joy to your life and less pain on SOB.
BavarianBeatle
I know several people who didn't hold on and instead rode with arms raised high in the air on Raven at Holiday World...who got off said ride with very sore ribs...which only got worse...and when they went to the doctor each found they then had broken ribs! We rode Raven with our arms up several times with our arms up and walked away without a scratch or any pain whatsoever. On The Legend, however, my keys were between my leg and the seat divider. I thought, "That's going to leave a mark." I was right....
FOFreak
The only really rough part is the turn back into the station. The tunnels are very hard on the ears though, even worse than Beast's second tunnel in some.
gigacoaster2k
I tend to grab the lap bar sometimes when on Beast and FOF. No clue why. Other than that, I ride all with hands up, yes even TTD, Skyscraper, and all free fall towers.
BavarianBeatle
We do not hold on when riding roller coasters!!! As I have said on here before, my kids never touched the restraints on MF on their very first ride. As for me, the boys made fun of me when I put my hands down to steady myself on The Voyage.... But on drop rides, I hold on....
KIlover123
i have been on a coaster with those type of restraints(on Diamondback), and i find that it feels nice to just put your hands in the air. thats all.
Beast1979
Don't answer by saying that you don't hold on at all. Seriously I am Serious. I hold onto nothing. Holding on and closing your eyes are for whimps. I'm an Adrenaline Junkie.
