erniebald57 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 "A malfunction that caused the Cyclone to drop too fast" Hasn't the Cyclone pretty much been dropping the same way for 80 years now? Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 See, in that regard: http://lawprofessors.typepad.com/tortsprof...-island-cy.html Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I'd like to see more on this. If the ride "Dropped To Fast", how come he was the only one who got hurt? I've seen that many times it's the Rider and not the Ride that causes the injury. Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Which is not always true. Tell that to Ms. Lassiter and her lawyers....better yet, don't. Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I wonder if the rider had some kind of pre-existing physical condition that was tragically made evident only by the coaster ride? There are people who have very precarious medical problems without feeling any symptoms or warning signs, only to be triggered by some force that would otherwise not cause injury. Quote
