There are only a handful of coasters I've been on that are no longer around, as I've only been to like 5 theme parks, but my favorite ride that is no more is Shockwave from SFGA. I think that because it's the first ride I can remember going upside-down on without closing my eyes, and I LOVED it.

A lot of rides at Geauga. I have to say my favorite coaster there was the Big Dipper. You know my Great Grandma rode that thing? There's something to say about that. It still provided a great ride, so sad to see it go.

The Blue Streak, Conneaut Lake Park...perhaps some day it may reopen, though I doubt it...and if you rode it in the last ten years, you missed the best rides...it was very sad when it was clear the end was nearing but not yet there...probably far worse than at the end...I actually cried my eyes out in that park about eight years ago, while it was still open, the place and the ride had deteriorated so much, as one of our members here well knows..perhaps the worst of all was walking by the by then closed Tumblebug (it would later briefly re-open) and then riding what had become the slow, unthrilling Blue Streak...which once had been by far my favorite wooden coaster.

Aww, I'll be going there in a few years, when the trees start to grow through the tracks. :(

Mine would have to be King Cobra or Psyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain

King Cobra was on an island as I have been told, not on any magic mountain...

FOFreak, who just HAD too...

I thought that people would have the common sense to know I meant King Cobra at Kings Island...

Double Loop, Raging Wolf Bob's, Villain, Rocket Ride and Gold Rusher at GL. (note the Dipper is SBNO)

White Water Landing and Shwabinchin(sp?) at CP

Kenton Creek Keelboat Canal, King Kobra, Phantom Theater and Flying Eagles at KI.

Sorry, couldn't just name one.

I have only ridden a couple coasters that are no longer with us, but I would have to say King Cobra. Only got to ride it once because it took me so long to work my courage up to ride it, then I came back the next season (used to go only once a year) to find that it was gone! I was so sad!

King Kobra was at Kings Dominion...and it doesn't exist any more either...

Flying Eagles swing on at Carowinds, under another name...Cedar Fair and Viacom would want me to mention the name...well, maybe just Viacom, at this point...

Mine would have to be Double Loop at GL. It wasn't a great coaster, I know, but it was the first coaster i got the courage to upside down on. I rode it 10 times that day and I sure felt like I had ridden it that much afterward. I left the park wanting to ride it again, but wasn't able to go back, and the next year GL was closed.
