Are times a lot tougher up North than they seem to be down south?

I see all the posts about all the tough times, and other than Circuit City & Famous Dave's closing, we just ain't seeing it in Atlanta.

^That's because Atlanta is a special, magical city! ^_^

I think it has something to do with the major automobile industries associated with the north, and the concerns surrounding them presently.
